Özet
Araştırma, Kafkas Üniversitesi‟nde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin eşcinselliğe ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Kafkas Üniversitesi fakülte ve yüksekokullarında öğrenim gören toplam 3048 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, soru formu ve Eşcinsellik Tutum Ölçeği (ETÖ) kullanılmıştır. Soru formu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, öğrencilerin sosyo-demografik özelliklerine; ikinci bölümde ise öğrencilerin eşcinselliğe ilişkin tutumlarını etkileyebileceği düşünülen faktörlere yönelik sorular yer almaktadır. Soru formu ve ETÖ 04.12.2017-16.03.2018 tarihleri arasında uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler; ortalama, standart sapma, yüzdelik ve sayılar, t-testi(independent samples t-testi) ve Oneway Anowa testleri kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin eşcinsellik tutum ölçeği puan ortalamasının (2,85±0,33) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ölçeğin Cronbach Alfa Katsayısı“0,80”olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmada, erkek öğrencilerin kadın öğrencilere, sınıf düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilerin düşük olan öğrencilere göre, eşcinselliğe ilişkin tutumlarının daha olumlu ve aralarındaki farkın anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Eşcinsel olduğu düşünülen yada bilinen bir tanıdığı olmayan öğrencilerin eşcinseliğe ilişkin tutumu tanıdığı olan öğrencilere göre daha olumsuz ve aralarındaki fark anlamlı bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Eşcinsellerin kendi kimliklerini saklama nedenin toplum baskısı olduğunu belirten öğrencilerin belirtmeyen öğrencilere göre tutumlarının daha olumsuz olduğu ve aralarındaki farkın anlamlı olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Sonuç olarak, bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyinin artması, eşcinsel bir tanıdığı olması gibi durumların eşcinselliğe ilişkin tutumlarını olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmektedir. Bu nedenle de sağlık personelleri tarafından üniversite öğrencilerine eşcinselliğe ilişkin eğitimler verilmeli ve üniversitelerin ders müfredatlarına cinsel sağlık dersi entegre edilmelidir. Böylece öğrencilerin eşcinsellere yönelik tutumlarının olumlu yönde değişeceği düşünülmektedir.

Research was conducted as descriptive with the aim of determining the opinions on homosexuality of the students, who have been studying in Kafkas University. Sample of the research was composed of total 3048 students, who have been studying in the faculties and vocational schools of Kafkas University. Question form and Homosexuality Attitude Scale (HAS) were used as data collection tool. The question from consists of two chapters. In the first chapter, the questions relevant to sociodemographic characteristics of the students were given, and the factors that is thought to affect the attitude towards homosexuality of the students are asked in the second chapter. Question form and HAS were applied between 04.12.2017- 16.03.2018. Data obtained were analysed by using average, standard deviation, percentage and numbers, independent samples t-test and One-way Anova tests. As a result of the research, score average of homosexuality attitude scale of the students was determined (2,85±0,33). Cronbach Alpha Coefficient of the scale was found“0,80”. The attitude towards homosexuality of the male students was more positive compared to that of female students, and more positive attitude was taken against homosexuality by the students at lower grades compared to the students at upper grades and significant difference was found between them (p<0,05). The attitude towards homosexuality of the students who are thought as homosexual or have no such familiar was found more negative compared to the students who know such person and statistically significant difference was found between them (p<0,05). The attitude of the students thinking that reason of concealing their identity of homosexuals is emanated from social pressure was determined more negative compared to the students who oppose to this thought and the difference between them was significant (p<0,05). In conclusion, it is seen in this study that the situations such as increasing grade level, presence of a homosexual familiar of the students affect positively their attitude towards homosexuality. Therefore, training on homosexuality should be given to university students by health personnel and sexual health course should be integrated to curriculum of universities. It is considered that attitude on homosexuality of the students can change in positive direction in this manner.
