The aim of this thesis is to examine and appraise the Hurşit and Mah Mihri's story which is one of the Turkish folk tales and had never examined before in the publicscience way. So the major aim is to help the studies of the folk literature. Generally, it had been paid attention to investigation studies about both general and different kinds of folk tales in order to be better understood the folk tales. Thus, it had been aimed to format a monography of Hurşit and Mah Mihri's story. 1. It had been confirmed the thesises about the story. 2. It had been searched the widespread and the age of the story. 3. It had been examined the- shape qualities, contents, language and style qualities the similarities with the outher kinds of folk-litterature of the story. As a conclusion, the shape, contents widespread of Hurşit and Mah Mihr's story which lives in the oral tradition shows that this story is a folk tale. This shows us "Hurşit and Mah Mihri's story is a varient of Bamsi Beyrek tale which is one of the story of Dede Korkut tales.
