ÖZET YÜKSEK LİSANS TEZİ KEMAL TAHİR DÜŞÜNCESİNDE BATILASMA OLGUSU Erem SARIKOCA Danışman: Prof. Dr. Sabahattin GÜLLÜLÜ Jüri : Prof. Dr. Sabahattin GÜLLÜLÜ Kemal Tahir toplumumuzun edebiyat alanında yetiştirdiği en önemli sanatçılardan birisi olmasının yanısıra, içinde yaşadığı toplumun sorunlarıyla da yakından ilgilenmiş, bu sorunların nedenlerim açıklamaya çalışmış bir yazardır. Bu çaba, sanatçıyı içinde yaşadığı toplumun yapısını incelemeye ve toplumun tarihsel gelişimini araştırmaya yöneltmiştir. Kemal Tahir' in ortaya koyduğu yaklaşımlar toplumumuzun düşünce dünyası açısından oldukça önemlidir. Yazar toplumuzda uzun süre düşünce gündemini oluşturan Osmanlı toplum yapısı tartışmalarına taraf olmuş ve bu tartışmaları etkilemiştir. Kemal Tahir' in anlayışına göre Anadolu Türk toplumunun tarihsel gelişimi ve toplumsal özellikleri Batı Avrupa toplumlarından farklıdır. Yazara göre Anadolu'nun coğrafi koşullan, Anadolu Türk toplumunun yapısı ve kurduğu devletler Doğu Toplum modeline uygun özellikler göstermektedir. Kemal Tahir' e göre Batı' dan tamamen farklı bir toplum yapısına ve özelliklere sahip olan Anadolu Türk toplumunun Batılaşması, Batı toplumlarına benzemesi olası değildir. Toplumsal sorunlara çözüm getirmesi tasarlanan Batılaşma girişimleri umulan gelişmeleri sağlamamış, yüzeysel çabalar halinde kalmıştır. Bu durumda toplumda gözlenen sorunlara karşı yapılması gereken toplumumuzun yapısal özelliklerinin mümkün olan en iyi biçimde araştırılması ve bu yapıya uygun çözümler oluşturulmasıdır

n ABSTRACT Master Thesis Erem SARIKOCA Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Sabahattin GÜLLÜLÜ Jury : Prof. Dr. Sabahattin GÜLLÜLÜ WESTERNIZATION CONCEPT İN KEMAL TAHIR THOUGHT Kemal Tahir is one of the most significant writers brought up by our society in the field of literature; on the other hand, he is writer who has paid close attention to the problems of the society in which he has lived and who has tried to explain the reasons for these problems. This effort has led the writer to analysing the society and investigating the historical development of the society. The approaches maintained by Kemal Tahir are quite significant from the aspect of mental world. The writer has sided with the debates on Ottoman social structure, which has occupied the mental world for a long time, and has influenced these debates. According to Kemal Tahir' s comprehension, the historical development and social characteristics of Anatolian Turk society are different from the Western Europe communities. To the writer, the geographical structure of Anatolia, the structure of Anatolian Turk society and the established states show appropriate features with the model of Eastern Society. To Kemal Tahir, the Westernization of Anatolian Turk society with a social structure different from that of the West, is improbable; nor is it possible for it the resemble the Western World. Tha attempts to Westernize have turned out to give unexpected results thought it has been planned to bring solutions to social problems. They have remained to be superficial efforts. What has to be done against such problems is to investigate as well as possible the structural characteristics of our society and to form up suitable solutions to this structure.
