SUMMARY AKKAYA.Ayşe: A FOLKLORIC EVALUATION OF CULTURAL VARIATIONS IN A DISTRICTION SAMPLE: Eğirdir county of İsparta. (AdvisorsNevzat GÖZAYDIN) Thesis of MA, 635 pages The mobility(development-variation-conf lict ) in social (culturel ) structure of the sample Eğirdir county and its villages was studied by analysing the Folkloric Findings which are about a 50 years period of time. The two years were spent in the Field study by giving great emphasis to the opinion of reference people, specific derivations from the FOLKLORIC LITERATURE has also been mentioned. The traditions in social relation which have been existed up to nowwere also determined. By regarding the norms of the distriction as a whole unit.it was anlysed the direction and the meaning of the variationsrelated to the socio-economic Functions. General hypotheses on Turkey were produced by evaluating the districtive believes. The confirmation or rejection of cultural mobility among people, its validity and effectiveness in traditions were presented as a step for scientific explanations by analysing the traditional social structure in Eğirdir and its surrounding villages : their believes, applications, the creati vity in Folk thought, some specific districtive features (ecological-traditional-religious-economic) and by making a documentary study from 1930 to 1995. When the Findings are studied in a combination of a whole cultural unity, the most distinctive Features were selected by placing the Folkloric elements into the interac tion with cultural unity and it was resulted.
