ABSTRACT The Institution of Prophetism has been started with Hz. Adem and ended with Hz. Muhammed (S.A.V.). But, discussion about prophets has been earned from the past till today. Some of today's modern scientists have needed to reunderstand and reevaluate prophetism. We have decided, as a subject of our theis, to study the ideas of Bediüzzaman Said Nursi who lived in this century. We have been influenced by the new studies which have been done by the Europen Countries. Our study has the following parts; introduction and three main sections. Introduction contains the problems about Prophets untill today, as a history of Kelâm. First part contains, the probability of prophetism and the need for them in Bediüzzaman. Second part contains, proof of prophetism is given as comparisons between Bediüzzaman and the others. Third part contains, the functions, dutres of prophets have been tried to determine. Final part ends with general evaluation. First, we started our study as source investigation and than we made comparisons. We hope our study will be helpful to Turkish Criticism..0.
