Özet
Bu çalışma, altı şapkalı düşünme tekniğinin bilişim teknolojileri ve yazılım dersi alan 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin ders başarısına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin bir arada kullanıldığı karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmada nicel veriler“İletişim Araçları Başarı Testi”ile, nitel veriler ise“Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım Dersinde Altı Düşünme Şapkası Formu”ile toplanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, araştırmadan elde edilen nicel veriler t testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Nitel veriler ise yüzde-frekans hesabı ile incelenmiştir. Araştırma, Kayseri ili Melikgazi ilçesinde bulunan Şükrü Başyazıcıoğlu Ortaokulu 5. Sınıf Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım dersinde yürütülmüştür. Seçkisiz atama ile biri kontrol (n=23), diğeri deney (n=22) grubu olarak iki sınıf seçilmiştir. Kontrol grubuna öğrencilerin aktif olarak öğretim sürecine katılmadığı, dersin öğretmen merkezli işlendiği geleneksel öğretim yöntemleri; deney grubuna ise öğrencinin öğrenmenin merkezinde yer aldığı farklı düşünme becerilerini geliştiren çağdaş öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinden biri olan altı şapkalı düşünme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sekiz hafta sürmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda, altı şapkalı düşünme tekniği kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen Bilişim Teknolojileri ve Yazılım dersinde, öğrenci başarısının daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

This study was conducted in order to determine the effect of the six thinking hats technique on the learning outcome of students taking the ICT lessons of fifth grades. In the study, a mixed method was used in which quantitative and qualitative research methods were used together. In this research quantitative data were gathered with“Communication Tools Success Test”and qualitative data were collected with“The Form of Six Thinking Hat in ICT Lessons”. In this direction, the quantitative data obtained from the study were analyzed by t-test. The qualitative data was analyzed with the percentage-frequency calculation. The study was carried out in ICT lessons of fifth grades at Şükrü Başyazıcıoğlu Secondary School. Two groups were selected as one control group (n=23) and the other experiment group (n=22) by unassigned assignment. In the control group, traditional teaching methods, in which the students don't participate actively in the teaching process and the course, is teacher-centered; in the experiment group six thinking hats technique was used, one of the contemporary teaching methods and techniques that improved the different thinking skills and the learners are at the center of the learning. The study lasted eight weeks. As a result of the research, it has been determined that student achievement is higher in Information Technology and Software lessons using six thinking hats technique.
