Özet
Bu tezin amacı dijital illüstrasyon tekniğini doğuran önceki tekniklerin araştırılarak Türkiye ve dünyada dijital illüstrasyonun oluşum ve gelişim sürecinin sektörel ve eğitimsel olarak incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada Türkiye ve dünyada illüstrasyonun tarihsel süreçte gelişimi incelenmiş ve önemli illüstratörlerin biyografilerine yer verilerek her dönemin kendi değişkenleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Geleneksel illüstrasyon teknikleri, uygulama yöntemleri ve kullanım alanlarına göre incelenerek hem kendi içindeki farklılıkları, hem de teknik gereksinimleri saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Dijital sanatın başlangıcından itibaren, ihtiyaç duyulan yazılım ve donanımların tanımları yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda hangi yazılım ve ekipmanların en çok hangi sektörlerde kullanıldığı gözlemlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Geleneksel ve dijital iş üreten illüstratörlerle yapılan görüşmelerde, şahısların farklı tekniklerin avantaj ve dezavantaj olarak gördükleri yönleri sorulmuş ve tercihlerinin hangi yönde olduğu saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Arşivdeki konuyla ilgili belge yetersizliği sebebiyle, illüstrasyonun kavramsal olarak dijital çağdaki gelişimi ve sanatçıların bu duruma nasıl uyum sağladıkları, birinci ağızdan aktarılmıştır. Görüşme yapılan illüstratörlere sanat eğitimleri ile ilgili sorular yöneltilmiştir. Buna ilave olarak öğretim görevlisi olan illüstratörlere, öğrencilerinin dijital veya geleneksel eğilimleri sorulmuştur. Türkiye'de ve dünyada sanat eğitiminde illüstrasyonun yeri saptanmaya çalışılmış ve görülen eğitim eksikliklerinin giderilmesi için neler yapılabileceği araştırılmıştır. Okulların teknolojiyle olan işbirlikleri ve sektörün eğitimde, eğitimin de sektör üzerinde olan rolü tanımlanarak araştırmaya katılmıştır.

The purpose of this thesis is to make research about the previous techniques that developed the digital illustration both and to study the process of formation and development of digital illustration in Turkey and in the world in sectoral and educational aspects. By identifying both traditional and digital techniques and through discussions with illustrators in both of the fields, it has been tried to define the relationships of these techniques in terms of each other together with their advantages and disadvantages. The historical development of illustration in Turkey and in the world is investigated and the biographies of important illustrators are included, so that the parameters of each period could be put forward. By examining the traditional illustration techniques with respect to methods of application and fields of uses, it has been aimed to determine both the differences in themselves and the technical requirements. During the birth and development of digital art, were defined made the definition of the materials needed research and elements, such as soft and hardware and in as shown by these definitions was made about the counterparts found by digital techniques in the sector. In negotiations with illustrators in the field of the production of traditional and digital workings, they were asked about the different aspects of the techniques that are seen as advantage and disadvantage by them. Because of lack of documents about the topic in the literature, the conceptual development of illustration in the digital age and how the artists have adapted to the circumstances are transmitted from the first hand. They how them were asked different questions and about their own art educational lives and learned out from lecturers in universities the tendencies of their students towards digital or traditional illustration. It is also tried to determine the place of illustration in art education in Turkey and in the World, and suggestions are offered in order to get rid of the missing points observed in the education. By identifying the cooperation between school and technology and the role of sector above the school and the role of school above the sector, the results have been added into the research.
