Özet
Bu çalışma, inhalasyon aromaterapinin mastektomi öncesi hastaların anksiyete düzeyine etkisini incelemek amacıyla kontrol gruplu ön test- son test yarı deneme modeli ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma 20.10.2015 - 01.06.2016 tarihleri arasında Çukurova Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Servisinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın örneklemini belirlenen evren içinden örneklem kriterlerine uyan gönüllü olarak araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden, 40 deney, 40 kontrol olmak üzere toplam 80 hasta oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', hastaların anksiyete düzeylerini değerlendirmek için 'Durumluk- Sürekli Anksiyete Envanteri' (DSAE) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, Shaphiro Wilk testi, yüzdelik dağılımlar ki-kare önemlilik testi (x²) bağımsız gruplarda student t testi, eşleştirilmiş gruplarda t testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 24.0 kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan hastaların yaş ortalaması 49,74±12,32'dir. Deney grubundaki hastaların %87,5'i (n=35), kontrol grubundaki hastaların %85,0'ı (n=34) evlidir. Deney grubundaki hastaların ön-test durumluk anksiyete puan ortalamasının 43,00±11,48, son-test durumluk anksiyete puan ortalamasının 37,28±9,93 olduğu ve aradaki farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır (p<0,05). Hastaların durumluk anksiyete son-test puan ortalamaları deney grubunda 37,28±9,93, kontrol grubunda ise 42,43±11,48 olarak belirlenmiş ve gruplar arası farkın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu saptanmıştır (p=0,003). Sonuç olarak, aromaterapinin mastektomi öncesi hastaların anksiyete düzeylerini olumlu yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Bu nedenle hemşirelik uygulamalarında bu girişimlere yer verilmesi önerilmektedir.

This study has been done to evaluate the effective of inhalation aromatherapy on preopetative anxiety levels of patients schedule for mastectomy; With a control group pre test-post test quasi-experimental model. The research was conducted between 20.10.2015 and 01.06.2016 in General Surgery Clinics of Balcalı Hospital of Çukurova University Medicine Faculty. This study has been carried out with experiment (40) and control (40) groups totally 80 patients who accepted to attend this study and were suitable for this study. The data collection was used to 'Personel Information Form, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Assessment of data, percentage, Shaphiro Wilk test, mean, standard deviation, chi-square test (x²) independent samples student-test, paired samples t test were used. For the assessment of the data; SPSS 24.0 was used. p<0.05 was accepted to be significant. The average age of the patients attended the study is 49,74±12,32. %87,5'i (n=35) percent of the patients in experiment group and %85,0'ı (n=34) percent of patients in control group are married. It was detected that score average of state anxiety pretest in experimental group was 43,00±11,48, and that post test one was 37,28±9,93 and distinction between the groups was found to be statistically significant (p<0,005). The state anxiety post-test point averages of the patients were determined as 37,28±9,93 in the experimental group and 42,43±11,48 in the control group, and the difference between the groups was found to be statistically significant (p=0,003). As a result of, it was determined that aromatherapy effects patients the anxiety before mastectomy levels of positively. For this reason, nursing practices are recommended to include these initiatives.
