Özet

Bu tez, tema olarak ortaya konulan“bale”nin özündeki estetiği, zaman içinde klişeleşen görüntüsü, sanatçılarda, sanatsal ifadenin dönüştürme gücüyle, biçimde var ederek nesneye yüklenen anlam doğrultusunda göstergelerin çözümlemeleri oluşturmaktadır. Tez kapsamında,“bale”nin tarihsel gelişimi ile başlamıştır. Tema, sanatçılar tarafından günümüz çağdaş sanat içinde değişime uğratılarak var edilebileceğinin tespiti yönünde yargı belirtmek açısından postmodernizmin çoğulcu ve eklektik yapısı üzerinden postmodern sanatın estetik anlayışına dair inceleme yapılmıştır. Resim, heykel ve fotoğraf sanatları ile sınırlı tutulmuştur. Plastik sanatlarda belirlenen sanatçılardan; Edgar Degas, Dame Laura Knight, Fernando Botero, Grace Schwindt, Monica Piloni ve Umberto Ciceri'nin eserlerinde tespit edilip, karşılaştırma yaparak, biçimsel ve içerik açıdan çözümlemeye gidilmiştir. Bu araştırmanın problemini, sanat nesnesi olarak alınan klasik“bale”nin, klişeleşmiş, kitschleşmiş temasından yola çıkılarak, postmodernist yaklaşımla nesneye yüklenen anlam doğrultusunda çözümlemeleri oluşturmuştur. Tez süresince konuyla ilgili yapıtlar meydana getirilmiş ve bunların kavramsal çerçevesini ortaya koymaya çalışılmıştır. Klasik balenin sanatsal ve kuramsal çalışmalarda yer almasıyla imgesel anlatımında değişimine neden olabilecek ölçüde Fındıkkıran, Petruşka, Hırçın Kız, Kuğu Gölü, Kedi Balesi ve Bahar Ayini resital konuları kıyas alınarak sorgulanmıştır. Ayrıca yurt içi ve yurt dışı bale teması ile eser veren bazı sanatçılar da bir araya getirilmiştir. Tez, teorik ve pratik olmak üzere iki farklı yönteme sahiptir. Önce konuyla ilgili nesnel veriler saptanarak belli bir bağlamda metin oluşturulmuş, sonra tez sahibi olarak uygulamalar gerçekleştirilerek, teknik, malzeme ve kavramsal çerçevesi gibi açılardan irdelenmiştir.

This thesis, the aesthetics, which is in the essence of ballet, have been formed by its image which have become a cliche in time and analyses of indicators in direction of the meaning ascribed to the object with the ability of transforming the expression in artists. In the scope of the thesis, the historical development of the ballet has been given the first place. As for the theme, to opine in direction of determining that it can be brought into existence by being changed by artists in present time contemporary art, an analysis concerning the postmodern aesthetics conception has been made on the basis of the pluralist and eclectical structure of postmodernism. It has been limited to painting, sculpture and photography. A formal and contextual analysis has been conducted by making observations on the works of Edgar Degas, Dame Laura Knight, Fernando Botero, Grace Schwindt, Monica Piloni and Umberto Ciceri who are mentioned in plastic arts. The quest of this thesis has been formed by the analyses in accordance with meaning ascribed to an object with a postmodernist approach, starting from well-worn, cliche and kitschy theme of classical“ballet”which has been considered as an artistic object. During the course of thesis, works of art have been generated and putting forward the conceptual frameworks of these works has been tried. Recital subjects of The Nutcracker, Petrushka, The Taming of the Shrew, Swan Lake, Cat's Ballet and Le Sacre du Printemps have been questioned analogically in a scale it might cause a change in its semiotic representation after classical ballet has played a part in artistic and academic works. In addition, some artists who gave work with domestic and international ballet theme were brought together. The thesis has a dual structure comprising both a theoretical and practical method. Initially, the text has been formed in a certain context by determining the objective data regarding the subject, then as the owner of the thesis, practices have been conducted and scrutinised with regard to technique, material and conceptual framework.
