Özet
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti kurulduktan sonra gerek siyasi alanda gerekse toplum nezdinde önemli bir konu halini almış din eğitim-öğretimi ve bu bağlamda İHO/İHL okullarına yönelik uygulamalar göz önüne alınarak toplumun bu okullara verdiği önemden hareketle okulların tarihsel süreç içerisinde karşılaştıkları problemler değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı; laik ya da muhafazakâr çatışmalar ortasında bırakılan bu okulların, siyasi bir kimliğe sahip olmadığını ve toplumun din eğitim-öğretimi alma istek ve arzusu doğrultusunda açılan ve MEB'e bağlı kurumlar olması gerçeğinden hareketle diğer eğitim kurumlarından hiçbir farkları olmadıklarını ortaya koymaktır. Konuya geniş çerçeveden bakıldığında; İHO/İHL moderinite olgusu içinde Türk modernleşmesinin paradokslarından kaynaklanan sorunların odağında yer alan konulardan biri olması dolayısıyla önemli siyasi ve kültürel problemlere yol açmıştır. Bu problemlerin çözüme kavuşturulması, toplumun birlik ve beraberliği açısından önemlidir. Toplumların dinle olan ilişkisi, o toplumu hayatta tutan can damarı gibidir. Böylesine güçlü can damarının başka grupların eline geçmemesi amacıyla bu okulların devletin denetiminde olması gerektiği, devlet bunu yaparken siyasi partilerin uygulamalarına dayanarak bu okullara yaptırımlar da bulunmaması sonucuna varılmaktadır. Bundan sonra bu okulların varlığı değil, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devleti açısından nasıl faydalı hale getirilebilecekleri üzerinde tartışmalar yapılmalıdır.

Issues such as the religious education and training, which has become very important topics both in politics and society after the establishment of Republic of Turkey, and the problems faced by the schools over the historical process by starting from the importance given by the society to İHO/İHL (Religious Vocational Schools/High Schools) by considering applications related to such schools on this context, have been evaluated. The purpose of this study is to manifest that these schools, left in the middle of the secular-conservative conflicts, do not differ from other educational institutions in any sense from a point of view suggesting that they were opened in line with the social desire for receiving religious education and are under the control of the Ministry of National Education. When you look at this matter in perspective, İHO/İHL has led to significant social and cultural problems as they are in the middle of the conflicts caused by modernization in Turkey within the scope of modernity. Solving these problems is significant for social unity and solidarity. Relation of societies with the religion is like a life-blood keeping that society alive. It has been concluded that such a powerful life-blood should be under state-control to prevent domination of this life-blood by other groups and the state should not impose sanctions on these schools basing on praxis of the political parties. Existence of these schools should not be discussed anymore; instead how they can be made useful for the Republic of Turkey should be epicenter of the discussions.
