Transportation infrastructure projects are the prominent filed of construction industry, which is being regarded as the leading sector in Turkey. According to the national development objectives of Turkey in 2023, it expected that the transportation megaprojects will take an important role in this manner. Therefore, Turkish government especially focuses on the infrastructure investments in order to achieving economic expectations and intended national development level. Within the scope of this condition, four prominent transportation megaprojects, their contractual and funding structures are analysed. However it is observed that foreign lenders are quite reluctant to invest on Turkish infrastructure projects and there is a considerable overload on local lenders of Turkey. Additionally, in legal aspect considerable issue of trust to the Turkish law has been observed in terms of contractual and funding aspects of transportation megaprojects.
