This project aims to measure and disaggregate the productivity change in Electricity, Gas and Water Supply (EGWS) and Post and Telecommunications (PT) sectors in 14 countries through the use of frontier-based approaches, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA). Therefore, firstly a main dataset was constructed using three different sources. After finding 14 countries which were suitable for the analysis, their data were adjusted by Purchasing Power Parities (PPPs) and volume indices. Then, SFA and DEA methods were used to measure productivity. However, SFA did not give inefficiency scores and so only DEA results were utilised to measure the productivity changes. The results indicated that Electricity, Gas and Water Supply (EGWS) sector improved while there was a deterioration in Post and Telecommunications sector. Also, it was found that Efficiency Change (EC) was the main driver of these changes.
