Özet

Bu araştırmadaki temel amaç ülkemizde yürütülmekte olan lisans programlarının son sınıf öğrencileri ile programı yürüten öğretim elemanları tarafından değerlendirilmesidir. Temel amacımıza ilave olarak iki amacımız daha bulunmaktadır: (1) öğrencilerin ve öğretim elemanlarının eğitim programından memnuniyet düzeyleri arasındaki farklılığı göstermek, (2) öğrencilerin öğretim elemanlarından memnuniyet düzeylerini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmaya fizyoterapist mezun etmekte olan beş üniversitenin öğrencileri ve öğretim elemanları dahil edilmiştir: Pamukkale Üniversitesi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, İstanbul Üniversitesi, Dumlupınar Üniversitesi. Çalışmaya 348 son sınıf öğrencisi (yaş ortalaması: 22,86±1,56 yıl) ve 69 öğretim elemanı (yaş ortalaması: 37,38±2,86), toplam 417 katılımcı dahil edilmiştir. Katılımcıların görüşleri iki anket ile sorgulanmıştır. Anket 1 (18 önerme; cronbach alfa:0,90) eğitim programının içeri, fiziksel ortam, eğitim olanakları gibi alanlarla ilgili bilgi toplamak üzere yapılandırılmıştır. Anket 2 (20 önerme; cronbach alfa:0,95) ise öğrencilerin öğretim elemanlarını değerlendirdikleri ankettir. Anket 1'in sonuçlarına göre, öğrencilerin ve öğretim elemanlarının eğitim programının içeriği, stajların etkinliği ve genel memnuniyet kategorilerindeki memnuniyet düzeyleri en yüksek iken, fiziksel ortam, araç-gereç yeterliliği ve sınav değerlendirme sistemi kategorilerinde en düşüktü. Anket 2 sonuçlarına göre memnuniyet düzeyi iletişim becerileri, sınav soruları ve not verme kategorilerinde en düşük iken, ders hazırlığı, mesleki bilgilendirme ve konu anlatım becerisi kategorilerinde en yüksekti. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon eğitiminde kalite standartlarının yüksek tutulabilmesi ve uygun düzeyde eğitim verilebilmesi için paydaşların görüş ve önerilerinin dikkate alınarak gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılmasının önemli olduğunu göstermiştir.

The main aim of this study is to evaluate final year physiotherapy students and teaching staff feedback in terms of physical environment, possibilities, and physiotherapy education in five different universities offering phsiotherapy and rehabilitation education in Turkey. In addition to this, the study has two more aims: (1) to describe the differences in terms of satisfaction level between final year students and instructors. (2) to show final year students feedback reflecting satisfaction and this satisfaction is about teaching staff. This study was conducted in five universities in Turkey: Pamukkale University, Hacettepe University, Dokuz Eylül University, İstanbul University Dumlupınar University. Totally 417 participants were included in this study: 348 final year physiotherapy students (mean age: 22,86±1,56 yr) and 69 teaching staff (mean age: 37,38±2,86 ) were asked to give their feedback in terms of physical environment, possibilities, and physiotherapy education. To obtain the feedback from the participants, two questionnaires were used: Questionnaire 1 (18 statements; cronbach alfa: 0,90) consisting of statements reflecting the students and teaching staff feedback related physical environment, possibilities, and physiotherapy education. Questionnaire 2 (20 statements; cronbach alfa: 0,95) consisting of statements reflecting the students satisfaction and dissatisfaction about teaching staff. Questionnaire 1 results showed that the students and the teaching staff reported higher scores in terms of the curriculum, the effectviness of clinical placement, and general satisfaction about the program. On the other hand, they gave negative feedback about physical enviroment including classes and labs, equipments, and grading style. According to the Questionnaire 2 results, the students satisfied with the teaching staff's professional information, course preparation, and lecturing skills. Students rated their lecturers as poor in terms of communication, exam questions, and grading style. The results obtained from this study indicate that feedback of the stake holders, including final year students and teaching staff should be considered in order to improve quality of physiotherapy and rehabilitation education.
