Özet
Bu çalışma, Kahramanmaraş'ta spora katılımı etkileyen faktörlerin ortaokul öğrencileri boyutunda nasıl şekillendiğini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda Kahramanmaraş il merkezinden 6 devlet okulu ve 2 özel okul olmak üzere toplam 8 ortaokul araştırmanın çalışma evrenini oluşturmuştur. Bu çalışma evreni içerisinde araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 1871 bayan (%49,6) ve 1900 erkek (%50,4) olmak üzere toplam 3771 öğrenci araştırmanın örneklem grubunu oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın amaçları doğrultusunda gerekli olan veriler araştırmanın konusuna uygun olarak literatür bilgilerden de faydalanılarak araştırmacıların kendileri tarafından hazırlanan 33 sorudan oluşan anket formu ile sağlanmıştır. Değerlendirilmeye alınmış anketlerin sayısal olarak ifade edilebilmesi için öğrencilerin hem demografik bilgileri hem de anket sorularına verdikleri cevaplar frekans ve yüzdelik hesaplamalara tabi tutularak dağılımlar ortaya konulmuştur. Değişkenler arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olup olmadığı Ki-Kare (x2) bağımsızlık testi ile analiz edilmiştir. İstatistiksel anlamlılık derecesi Alpha p<0.05 olarak kabul edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; Ortaokul öğrencilerinin ilgilendikleri spor branşları onların sosyo ekonomik durumlarına göre değişiklik göstermektedir. En fazla ilgi duyulan spor branşı voleybol, basketbol ve futbol olmuştur. Spora ilgi duyanların yanında spora ilgi duymayan grubun spora katılımına engel olan faktörlerin başında okul, dershane ve kurs gibi nedenlerin etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Spora ilgi duyup katılmama nedenlerinin arasında ise ailelerin izin vermemeleri, çevre baskısı ve dini inançların etkisinin olduğu görülmüştür. Bir taraftan eğitim ve öğrenim sürecine devam etme diğer taraftan dershane ve kurslara katılım gösterme durumunda kalan öğrenciler bir de bulundukları yerden uzak mesafedeki spor tesislerine ulaşmada oldukça problem yaşamaktadır. Özellikle bayan öğrenciler uzak olan ve geç saatlerdeki zamanlarında ailevi izinlerden dolayı spor tesislerinden faydalanmada zorlanmaktadırlar. Araştırma grubu içerisinde yer alan öğrencilerin ailelerinin eğitim ve spora bakış açıları da spora katılım göstermede bir etken olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır.

This study is made to clarify how the factors affect the secondary students on the participation in a sport in Kahramanmaras. With this perspective, six public schools and two private schools, eight secondary schools in total from the city center of Kahramanmaraş are the universe of the study. Within this study, 1871 girls (%49,6) and 1900 boys (%50,4), 3771 students in total that are eager to participate in this survey are the samples of this study. Within the goals of the survey, the data that is essential, is gained from the questionnaire form with 33 questions that are prepared by the contenders with the help of the literature data as well. To define the examined forms within the numbers, students' demographic information and answers are taken into frequency and percentile calculations. To find out the variables among the statistics, the meaningful differences are analyzed with the ( ) independency test. The statistic meaningfulness degree is accepted as Alpha p<0.005. According to the survey results; secondary students' interests in sport branches change according to their socio-economic status. Volleyball, basketball and football are the highest rated sport branches. The factors that prevent the students from the sport are schools, courses and after school classes. The factors of the students that are eager but not allowed to join the sport is that families' preventions, peer pressure and religious believes. The fact that the students are to attend the schools and the courses and to attend the far away sport complexes is the main problem of the students. Especially girls cannot use the sport complexes because of the fact that the complexes are far away and they cannot take permission from their families for the late activities. The education and the point of view to the sport of the families of the students that take place in the survey are also the reasons of the participation in a sport for students.
