Success has always been of concern to people. In the present research, the meaning and dimensions of life success were examined from a life-span perspective. The subjects were 150 Turkish, managerial, well-educated and married men and women working for different private sectors representing the age 30, and the mid-life transition periods. A standardized version of life success scale by Parker and Chusmir (1992), perceived peer-related success scale on objective measures created by the investigator, and a demographic information form were used to test the research hypotheses. MANOVA results indicated that sex does not have any significant effect on the importance assigned to work-related success dimensions. However, it seemed that women placed more importance on non-work related dimensions of success. Age does not have any significant effect on the importance assigned to non-work related dimensions of life success. However, it has a significant effect on work-related dimensions of life success. Those who are in the age 30 transition assigned more importance to workrelated dimensions of life success compared to those who are in the mid-life transition. Pearson correlation results revealed that respondents' perceptions of their success in terms of the objective measures in career and relationships and the importance they attribute to workrelated and non-work-related dimensions of life success were positively correlated. It was concluded that a research composed of open-ended questions would be very beneficial in understanding the meaning and dimensions of life success for various cultures.
