SUMMARY In this study, emphasis has been given to the fundemental characteristics of the European Community and its Law. Within this framework, emphasis has also been given to the European Community, as an international organization, and to the rela tions among the Community Law, international law and do- metstic law. In the first chapter, the European Community is being ana- lized as an international organization. While analizing the Eu ropean Community, a comparative work was tried to be done with the calssical international organizations. In addition to this.the functions and powers and also legal structure of the European Community is also being analized. In the second chapter, emphasis is given to the relations of international law and (with) the Community Law. Within this context, the legal bases and the entities of the Community Law is also being analized by comparing with international law. On the other hand, the executive character of the Community law is also being analized. Lastly in this chapter, the jurisprudence of the Community law and the European Court of Justice is also being tried to be analized. Last chapter of this research deals with the relations bet ween the Community law and domestic law. In this context,emphasis is given to the points where the cooperation and conflicts do arise between the Community Law and national law. Since, according to the practice, the Community law, pre vails domestic law, and the consequences of this was tried to be analized. As a conclusion, the Community law has a sui generis characteristic. This point has to be taken into consideration by all local authorities.
