Özet (Çeviri)
Boğazkale, an administrative district of Çorum, ibcated between the Black Sea region and the Central Anatolia Region. It's up the Budaközü Creek and it lies on the northwest edge of the Bozok Plateau. With fifteen villages around, which were joined in 1990, it has a population of 10425. It's one of the first residential areas in Anatolia. Started at Bronze Age, the inhabitance continuously went on.“Hattis”, who were known to be the first inhabitant of Anatolia, established a settlement and called it“Hattusas”It remained as one of the most importand residential areas in the Middle East for hundreds of years. In 2000 B.C., Hittites estableshed a settlement in the region, after the Assur merchants who came to Anatolia for commercial purposes, and it became the capital of Hittises. When they lost their power, the region lost its importance as well. Then“Frygs”settled there and called the city“Pteria”. The region was then populated by Romans, Byzantines and later by Turks. Boğazkale, through which famous“King Road”runs has been an area of minor importance since then. The region which was a part of“Budaközü”and then“Sungurlu”during the reign of the Ottoman Empire, became and administrative dis - trict of Sungurlu after the foundation of the Turkish Republic. It became a180 district in of years has been taken under control by forming a park called“Boğazkale-Alaeahöyük Historical National Park”. The district has on area of 268 sq.km., the Budaközü Creek flows through the“Hanyeri”which surrounds the district on one side. The Bozok Plateau surrounds it on the other sides. Economic sources are agriculture, feeding animals, trading and tourism. Agricultural products are cereals and leguminous plants, livestock is sheep. As 52.2% of the economically active population is occupied with agriculture, the town of Boğazkale functions as a typical town centre. It has minor authority with it's villages. Immigration, began in 1960, due to the increase in population, sharing the cultivated land by means of inheritance, limited agricultural facilities and mechanization in agriculture, has recently increased at a great rate. If establishments are founded to make the district's touristic and agricultural potential useful, immigration may be prevented and a solution to the unemployment may be found.
