Özet
İçinde yaşadığımız toplum hayatının en önemli konularından biri hiç kuşku yok ki“eğitim”dir. Devletler bu konuda kendilerine en uygun olan birtakım eğitim politikaları geliştirmekte ve bunu uygulamaktadırlar. Bunda amaç daha iyi, daha gelişmiş bir topluma ulaşma isteği vardır. Eğitim çalışmalarının başarıya ulaşmasında da elbette birçok etken vardır. Onlardan biri de verilecek eğitimin“yöntem/teknik”boyutudur. Yöntem bir bilginin, dersin, kazanımın nasıl verileceğiyle ilgili genel bir adlandırmadır. Yöntem ve teknikler üzerine yapılan çalışmalar eğitim çalışmalarına kolaylık sağlar. Bu kolaylığa bir katkı oluşturması bakımından“edebiyat-eğitim ilişkisi”nin ele alınması da bir fayda sağlayabilir. Çünkü edebiyat, klasik edebiyatımız açısından bakıldığında“edep”kökünden geldiği üzerinde sıkça durulmaktadır ve eğitimin en önemli unsurlarını oluşturan“kişilik, ahlâk, terbiye, ölçülü olma”gibi kavramlar doğrudan“edep”in içinde değerlendirilmektedir. Bu konu, İslam tesiriyle şekil kazanmış olan edebiyatımızın bir boyutunu oluşturur. Ancak meselenin Batı kültürü açısından bakılması durumunda her ne kadar aynı sonuç söz konusu olmasa da yine edebiyat ile eğitim arasında sıkı bir ilişki vardır. Batı'da edebiyat daha çok“sanatsal zevk”yönüyle etkileme amacına bağlı olarak değerlendirilir. Dolayısıyla edebiyat“etkileme- telkin etme”yönüyle de dolaylı olarak bir eğitim işlevi görür. Bu çalışmada yukarıda da değinildiği gibi öncelikle edebiyat eğitim yakınlığı“edep”kavramı çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Konunun“sanat, fayda, yöntem, içerik”yönleri ortaya konmuştur. Ardından“edebiyat”ve“eğitim”kelimeleri üzerinde durulmuş ve bu iki kavramın müşterekleri sayılan“dil, kültür ve sanat”unsurlarına değinilmiştir. Edebiyatın bir eğitim yöntemi olup olamayacağı hakkında değerlendirmeler yapılmış ve edebi türler yönünden de konunun değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Konunun somutlaştırılması adına örnekleme oluşturabilecek bazı eserlerle edebiyat-eğitim ilişkisi sonuca bağlanmıştır. Buna göre edebiyat bir yöntem ve teknik olarak, eğitim çalışmalarında kullanılabileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmamızın, eğitim hayatına yeni bir bakış açısı kazandırarak bu yöndeki faaliyetlere katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir.
