Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı; Ortaokul 2. sınıf fen ve teknoloji dersi, vücudumuzdaki sistemler ünitesi, solunum sistemi konusunda, ?Tahmin-Gözlem-Açıklama? (TGA) stratejisine dayalı olarak hazırlanan etkinliklerin öğrencilerin başarılarına etkisinin araştırılmasıdır. Yapılan araştırmada yarı deneysel modellerden biri olan eşitlenmemiş kontrol gruplu model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yarı deneysel desen kullanılmasının nedeni, araştırmanın çalışma grubunun rastgele olarak seçilememesidir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılı 2. döneminde Erzurum ili Tortum ilçe merkezinde bulunan iki ortaokulun 2. sınıflarına devam etmekte olan 67 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. TGA stratejisine dayalı öğrenci etkinlik kâğıdının ve iki aşamalı başarı testinin eksikliklerini, fazlalıklarını ve uygulamada aksayan yönlerini tespit edip gidermek amacıyla 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılı 2. döneminde 39 öğrenciye pilot uygulama yapılmıştır. Testin kapsam ve yüz görünüş geçerliliğinin sağlanabilmesi için 2 öğretim üyesi, 2 biyoloji ve 5 fen teknoloji öğretmeni tarafından test ve öğrenci etkinlik kâğıdı incelenmiş ve pilot uygulama sonucuna göre öğrenci etkinlik kâğıdı ve solunum sistemi başarı testi tekrar düzenlenerek geliştirilmiş ve araştırmanın çalışma grubuna uygulanmıştır. Solunum sistemi iki aşamalı başarı testinin, yapılan güvenirlik analizleri sonucunda cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0.93 çıkmıştır. Araştırmanın başında çalışma grubuna ?Solunum Sistemi? iki aşamalı başarı testi ön test olarak uygulanarak grupların başarı açısından birbirine denk olduğu ve aralarında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. 4 hafta süren uygulama sonucunda solunum sistemi konusu iki aşamalı başarı testi kullanılarak elde edilen veriler, SPSS 17 programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Flash animasyonlarla zenginleştirilerek oluşturulmuş olan TGA etkinliklerinin ortaokul 2. sınıf öğrencilerinin solunum sistemi konusunda akademik başarılarına etkisinin anlamlı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

The aim of this study: To investigate how the Predict, Observe and Explain (POE) based prepared activities effects on science and technology, body systems unit and respiratory system lessons in 2nd class students of Secondary School. The study used unsynchronized control group model which is one of the quasi-experimental model. The reason why the quasi-experimental model is that research study group cannot be chosen randomly. The study group is formed by 67 students on going 2011-2012 academic years second semester in Secondary School 2nd class located in Tortum district, Erzurum province. To detect the shortcomings, excess, weak parts of the application of the two-stage success test and student activity paper based on POE strategy and to eliminate it, 39 students of 2011-2012 academic year's second semester were taken to pilot period. The test and the student activity papers were observed for the test?s content and it?s validity by 2 instructors , 2 biology teacher and 5 science and technology teachers and as a result of the pilot study, student event paper and respiratory system success test was reorganized, developed and administered to the study group. As a result of the reliability analysis of two-stage respiratory system success test, Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was 0.93. At the beginning of the research the study groups undergo two-stage respiratory system pre-test, and concluded that groups are identical with each other and there is no significant difference between them. 4-week practice in the respiratory system, which is obtained using two-stage success test were analyzed using SPSS 17 software. Concluded that enriched by Flash animations POE activities has a significant effect on the academic achievements of 2nd class student's respiratory system study.
