Özet
ÖZET Otel İşletmecileri, müşterileri için oteli tercih edebilir hale getirmek istemektedir. Bu amaçla, hem teknolojik yenilikleri takip etmek, hem de hizmetin kalitesini arttırmayı hedeflemektedir. Bugün otellerde kullanılan teknolojik yeniliklerden biri de bilgisayarlardır. Bilgisayar ile bilgiler toplanır, kayıt ve rapor edilir. Bu sayede, el ile uzun zaman alacak işlemler daha kısa sürede ve hatasız olarak gerçekleştirilir. Oteller, - Hızlılık, - Doğruluk, - Güvenilirlik, - Denetim kolaylığı, - Raporların sağlıklı tutulabilmesi, - Birimlerarası iletişim eksikliğini giderme, - Ulaşım şirketleri ile haberleşmeyi sağlama, gibi sebeplerle bilgisayar kullanmayı tercih etmişlerdir. Bilgisayarın otellerde kullanımı kırtasiyeciliği azaltmış, zamandan, enerji kullanımından tasarruf sağlamış, çalışanlara müşteri ile ilgilenmek için daha fazla zaman bırakmıştır. Ancak, Bilgisayar Sistemi'ni seçerken donanım ve Yazılım tercihine önem vermek gerekir. Departmanların birbiri ile entegre çalışabileceği ve ileride olabilecek gelişme ve büyümeye cevap verebilecek bir program seçmeye özen gösterilmelidir. Bu konuda, bir bilgisayar firmasının programı örnek olarak verilmiştir. Bilgisayarın oteller için çok önemli olduğu bir gerçektir. Ancak, otellerin ağırlama endüstrisi olması insan faktörünü de ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Bu nedenle, ağırlama eğitimine de önem vermek gerekmektedir.

ABSTRACT Te hotel managers wish to make their hotels more preferable. With this aim in mind, they endeavour both to pursue the technological novelties and to increase the quality of the service. Today, one of the technological novelties used in the hotels is computer. The computer is used to gather and reserve the information and to report it. In this way, the operations which require more time when they are performed by hand, can be finished without any error in a short time. The hoteels prefer to use computer due to the reasons stated below: - Speed - accuracy - reliability - easeress of controlling - to write rapports accurately - to eliminate the lack of communication among the units - to obtain correspondence with the transportation companies The use of computers in the hotels causes a considerable decrease in the bureaucracy, provides economization of the expenditure of electricity and more time to the employees in order to spend with the customers. However, it is quite essential to be careful about the soft ware while choosing the appropriaate computer system. It is necessary to take great pains with choosing of a program which is supposed to get the departments to work in an integrated manner and to respond the conditions that may evolve due to the growth and development of the enterprise. In this context, a sample program of a computer company has been enclosed. If is an inevitable truht that the computers are critical for the hotels. Nevertheless, the human factor is also very important since the hotels are entertainment industries. So that, the entertainment training should be taken seriously. II
