Özet
Bu araştırma da Altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında yer alan coğrafya konularının öğretim sürecine yönelik öğretmen görüşleri incelenerek, öğretmen görüşleri çerçevesinde Altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabındaki coğrafya konularının içerik ve yöntem açısından öğrencilerin seviyelerine uygunluğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca içeriğin daha iyi nasıl hazırlanabileceği ve coğrafya konularının etkili sunulması için öngörülen yöntemlerin nasıl uygulanabileceği ve daha çok hangi yöntemlerin uygulandığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır.Araştırmada sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerine yönelik 6. sınıf sosyal bilgiler programının içerik ve yöntemini kapsayacak şekilde anket ve görüşme formu hazırlanıp uygulanmıştır. Araştırma ya evren olarak Erzurum ilinin Aşkale ilçesi seçilerek bütün ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerine anket uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca bunun yanında sosyal bilgiler öğretmenleriyle görüşme de yapılmıştır.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket ve görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Anket formu ile elde edilen bilgiler SPSS 7.00 paket programı ile analiz edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Görüşme formu ile elde edilen bilgiler ise sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sorulara vermiş oldukları cevaplar ayrı ayrı tespit edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Bu araştırmaya göre elde edilen sonuçlar şu şekilde sıralanabilir:?Altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında yer alan coğrafya konularının içeriği yeniden gözden geçirilmelidir ve görsel öğeler ile zenginleştirilmelidir.?Altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında coğrafya konularının anlatımında kullanılan soruların bazıları değiştirilebilir.?Altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabında coğrafya konularının öğrenci seviyesine uygunluğu tartışılabilir.?Sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin, coğrafya konularını işlerken konunun özelliğine göre farklı öğretim yöntemlerini uyguladıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this research, the conformity of the geography issues in sixth grade social sciences school books to students? levels in terms of content and method is ascertained within the framework of teacher opinions by analyzing teachers? opinions about teaching process of geography issues which take part in sixth grade social sciences school books. More over, it is tried to determine how to prepare content much better and how to employ the prescribed methods for effective expression of geography issues and which methods are most employed.In the research, a survey and interview form in a way that they cover the content and method of sixth grade Social sciences programme and applied to social sciences teachers. Aşkale Town of Erzurum Province was chosen as space for the research and the survey was applied to social sciences teachers who work under all elementary schools. Additionally, interviews were made with all social sciences teachers.In the research, survey and interview were used as data collection tool. The data obtained from survey form were assessed by analyzing them with SPSS 7.00 packag programe. The data obtained from interview form were assessed by determining the answers of social sciences teachers to the questions separately. The results in reference to this research can be put in order as follows:1. The content of the geography issues in sixth grade social sciences school books must be revised again and must be enriched with visual elements.2. Some of the questions used for teaching the geography issues which in sixth grade social sciences school books can be changed.3. The conformity of the geography issues in sixth grade social sciences school books to the student level can be discussed.4. It is seen that social sciences teachers apply different teaching methods according to the content of the issue when they teach the geography issues.
