SUMMARY In the study which is called“Ideology and Reality in the Current Affairs Case Study: 32. Gün”firstly it is examined how the ideology works in media, especially in television, and how the reality is formulated. In addition to these, it is told that objectivity can't be possible. Also in that part, these concepts are studied in television news and current affairs. In the second part, the concept of current affairs and the background and development of this genre of television programmes in America, England and Turkey is examined. The censor and suggestion of current affairs in TRT is researched in the third part. Then, 32. Gün, which forms the empiric part of the study, is mentioned in detail. In the last part, the narration and representation style of 32.Gün is studied. 187
