SUMMARY The Assyrian merchants who came to Anatolia for commerce in the years 2000 BC started the“Assyrian commerce colony age”which is an important period in Anatolian History. Anatolia entered into a live trade life and the written period in the Assyrian commerce colony age. This period lasted about 150-200 years and in this period 125 Karums (big bazaars) and wabartum (small bazaars) has been set especially in Kültepe (The Kaniş kârum) 22 km north of Kayseri. Most of the written documents (13.000 froml 8.000 documents) found from this period are in Ankara Anatolian Civilization Museum, Kayseri Museum and İstanbul Archeology Museum. The documents found in Kültepe which mostly are commercial documents and which organizes this thesis are also called Capadocia Tablets. The most important side of these documents is that we see that the using of interest 4000 years before today. The percentage that is written in the documents is about 30%. The 50 piece debt document that we examined from the Kültepe tablets dated as limum, hamustum names, agriculturel expressions and native (Anatolian) god names are used. Moreover, from the words“According to the kârums Rule”in the document, we get information about the power of the kârum department. As a result, The Assyrian Commerce Colony Age has great importance to the Anatolian history and culture. Because from the politic and economic side they represent the first sources. J2:
