Özet
Bir milleti şekillendiren en önemli unsurlardan biri öğretmenlerdir. Onların bu işlevlerini layıkıyla yerine getirebilmeleri ve geleceğin nesillerini en iyi bir şekilde yetiştirebilmeleri için onlara gerekli ortamların sağlanması, işlerinden tatmin olmaları için gerekli desteğin verilmesi gerekmektedir.Bu araştırma Anadolu liseleri ile genel liselerde çalışan öğretmenlerin iş tatminleri ve sosyal destek düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için yapılmıştır. Araştırma beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Bunlar; Giriş, İlgili Literatür, Yöntem, Bulgular ve Yorum ile Sonuç Tartışma ve Öneriler şeklindedir.Bu araştırmanın evreni 2007-2008 eğitim öğretim yılında Türkiye'deki Anadolu ve genel liselerde çalışan öğretmenlerdir. Örneklemi ise Kağıthane, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Eyüp, Fatih ve Gaziosmanpaşa ilçelerinden seçilen 5 Anadolu lisesinde çalışan 125 ve 10 Genel lisede çalışan 142 olmak üzere toplam 267 öğretmendir.Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Minnesota iş tatmin ölçeğinin 20 sorudan oluşan kısa formu ve Çivilidağ(2003)'ın geliştirdiği Algılanan Sosyal Destek ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada demografik değişkenlerin yüzde ve frekansları çıkarılmıştır. Sürekli değişkenlerin demografik değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının analizi yapılmış ve sürekli değişkenlerin kendi aralarındaki ilişkiye bakılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler bilgisayarda SPSS for Windows 15.0 yardımıyla istatistiksel teknikler kullanılarak çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır.Araştırma sonuçlarına göre genel liselerde çalışan öğretmenlerin iş tatmin düzeyleri Anadolu liselerine göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Anadolu lisesi ve genel lisedeki öğretmenlerin İş Tatmini toplam puanları ile Algılanan sosyal desteğin iş yeri arkadaşı desteği, eş desteği, anne-baba desteği, işyeri dışı arkadaşı desteği alt boyut puanları ile iş tatmini toplam puanı arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuş, öğrenci desteği alt boyutunda ise anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar kelimeler; İş Tatmini, Algılanan Sosyal Destek.

One of the most important elements which forms a nation is teachers. It is necessary to make their environment more suitable and to give them enough support so that they can satisfy with their work. If so, they can fulfill their fonction and they educate future generations.This research has been done to determine the relation between the work satisfaction and social support level of the teachers who work at Anatolian High Schools and Public High Schools. This research, related, method, findings, and comment. The last section includes result, discussion and suggestions.The field of the research is the theachers who worked at Anatolian High Schools and Public High Schools in Turkey during 2007-2008 Education year. Samples of the research are the 125 theachers from 5 Anatolian High Schools, 142 teachers from 10 Public High Schools, totally 267 teachers, in Kağıthane, Şişli, Beşiktaş, Eyüp,Fatih ve Gaziosmanpaşa.In order to collect the research data, the followings are used: Personal Information Form, the short form of 20 questions in Minnesota Work Satisfactions Scale and Perceived Social Support Scale developed by Çivilidağ(2003). In the research, it is excluded the percentage and frequency of the demographic factors. It has been analysed if continual factors change or not according to the demographic factors and it has been examined the relation among the continual factors. The data found has been analysed and commented by using statistical techniques by the help of SPSS for Windows 15.0 on the computer.According to the research results; the level of work satisfaction of the teachers who work at Anatolian High Schools is higher than Public High Schools. There is a meaningful positive relation between the work satisfaction points and peceived social support. This positive relation exists when we consider work place friends, spouse support, parents support, the support of friends outside the work place. There isn?t a meaningful relation when we consider students support.
