Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğrenme stilleri belirlenen öğrencilere uygun olarak seçilecek öğrenme yöntemlerinin öğrencinin akademik başarısına, matematiğe yönelik tutumuna ve kaygısına etkilerini belirlemektir.Araştırma yarı deneysel bir çalışmadır ve kontrol gruplu ön test-son test modeline dayanmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, 2006?2007 öğretim yılı Analiz I-A-B şubelerine kayıtlı 65 matematik öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır. Deney grubunda 30, kontrol grubunda ise 35 denek bulunmaktadır. Uygulama öncesinde deney ve kontrol gruplarının eş düzeyde olduğu ortaya konmuştur.Araştırmada nicel ve nitel veri toplama araçları kullanılmıştır. Veriler Matematik Tutum Ölçeği, Öğrenme Stilleri Ölçeği, Öğrenci gözlemleri, Türev ile ilgili öğrenci gruplarının gerçekleştirdiği aylık ödevler, Açık uçlu problemlerden oluşan ?ara? ve ?dönem sonu? sınavlarından elde edilmiştir. İstatistiksel çözümleme yöntemleri kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada elde edilen verilerden, öğrencilerin öğrenme stilleri ÖSÖ ile belirlenmiştir. Uygulama sonrasında ÖSÖ tekrar uygulanarak öğrenme stillerinin değişebileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bireysel farklılıkların öğrenme sürecinde öğrenciye fırsatlar sağlarken öğretmene öğretimi planlamada yardımcı olacaktır. 4MAT Öğrenme Modeline göre ders planlanmıştır. Öğrencilerin akademi başarılarında deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Deney grubuna uygulanan tutum ölçeğinden uygulama öncesinde ve sonrasında matematiğe yönelik tutumları arasında pozitif yönde olumlu bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur.

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of the learning methods used for the students whose we know the learning styles of on the student?s academic performance, on his attitudes and anxiety towards Mathematics.The study is a quasi-experimental research and stands on the pre-post modeling with an experimental group. For this study 65 people are chosen among the students of Education Faculty of Maths Teaching Analysis Course Classes II-A-B in 2006-2007. Both the experimental group and the control group consist of 30 members each. The level of the members in both groups are proved to be the same before the practice.Both qualitative and quantitative methods were used to collect the data. The data were collected by means of the Mathematics Attitudes Scale, Learning Time Measurement, observations of the students, the monthly papers prepared by the student groups on Derivatives, the open-ended problems asked in mid-terms and finals. Statistical Analysis methods are used.The learning styles of the students are derived from the data of the study. The learning styles are practiced again in order to show that they can change. Individual differences give many opportunities to the students in the learning process and help the teacher plan the teaching process. The lesson is planned according to the 4MAT Learning Modelling. There is a significant difference in the experimental group on the academic performance of the students. According to the Mathematics Attitudes Scale, there is a positive relationship between the attitudes of the students towards Mathematics before and after the practice.
