Özet
Türkiye'de 27 Ekim 2003 tarihinde bireysel emeklilik sistemi kapsamındafaaliyete geçen emeklilik fonları bu tarihten sonra hızlı bir gelişim göstermiş ve Türkekonomisi için önemli bir unsur haline gelmeye başlamıştır. Ekonomi için gittikçeönemi artan bu fonlara yönelik bilimsel araştırma ihtiyacı, fonların gelişimlerineparalel olarak her geçen gün daha da artmaktadır. Bu çalışmada da Ocak 2004'denHaziran 2006 tarihine kadar olan dönemde Türkiye'deki 46 adet emeklilik fonununanaliz dönemindeki performansı, fon yöneticilerinin zamanlama kabiliyeti vefonların sergilediği yatırım stili ve yatırım stilinin gösterdiği değişim incelenmiştir.Bu amaçla öncelikle farklı performans ölçüm teknikleri ve zamanlama testleriemeklilik fonlarına uygulanmış ve çıkan sonuçlar yorumlanmıştır. Daha sonrafonların yatırım stilinin tespiti için ?stil analizi metodu? hem genel hem de dönemselbazda uygulanmış ve elde edilen sonuçlar yorumlanmıştır.Sonuç olarak fonların performans sıralamasını veren ölçütlerin fon gruplarıdahilinde birbirine benzer sıralamayı verdikleri ve gerçek anlamda piyasazamanlaması yeteneğine sahip olan emeklilik fonu sayısının çok az olduğu sonucunaulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca emeklilik fonlarının analiz döneminde, mümkün olduğunca riskiazaltacak bir yatırım stratejisi izlediği ve bu nedenle fon yöneticilerinin yatırımlarda,düzenleyici kısıtlar dahilinde, sabit getirili ve risksiz yatırım araçlarına yöneldiğitespit edilmiştir.

In Turkey, the pension funds which have gone into operation within the contextof private pension system in October 27, 2003, has shown a rapid development sincethat date and has begun to be an important component for Turkish economy. Parallelto the development of the funds, the need scientific research, oriented on these fundswhich are becoming more important for economy grows day by day. In this study theperformance of the 46 pension funds in the analysis period, the timing ability of thefund managers and the show of the investment style of the funds and the alternationof the investment style is analyzed in the period between January 2004 to June 2006.To this end, before all else, different performance measurement techniques andtiming tests are applied to the pension funds and the results are interpreted. Afterthat, to determine the investment style of funds ?the style analysis method? is appliedboth for general and periodic base and the results are interpreted.In conclusion, it is understood that the criteria that shows the performanceranking in the context of fund groups shows a similar ranking and in the literal sensethe number of the pension funds which have the timing ability are very low.Furthermore, it is confirmed that the pensions funds settle an investment strategy thatdecreases the risk as far as possible in the analysis period and for this reason the fundmanagers tend to the fixed income and safe investment tools in the course of theregulation constraints in the investment
