Özet
Bu araşt ırman in amacı, Nevşehir ilinin turizm potansiye lini ortaya koymak ve genel turizm sorunlarını tespit ederek, çözüm önerileri getirmektir, ilin turizm potansiyelinin ortaya konması turizm sorunlarının tesbit edilmesi ilin turizm yönün den gelişimi için alınacak kararların isabetli olmasını saklayacaktır. Bu araştırma için gerekli veriler, bu konuda daha önce yapılmış araştırmalardan ve yayınlardan, saha araştırmasıyla alanda ve konaklama işletmeleri ile yabancı turistlere uygulanan anketlerden elde edilmiştir. Yine araştırma için Turizm Bakanlığı istatistik bilgilerinden faydalanılarak Nevşehir iline 1930 yılından 1990 yılına kadar olan talep belirlenmiş ve doğrusal trend metodu kullanılarak geleceğe ilişkin talep ve yatak ihtiyacı tahminleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuncunda bölgenin turizm arzı bütün yönleriyle ortaya konmuştur. Yapılan arz ve talep karşılaştırmaları sonuncunda, bölgenin yatak arzı ve yatak ihtiyacı arasında, yatak arzı fazlalığı yönünden dengesizlik olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum konaklama işletmelerinin rantabilitesini düşürmektedir. Bunlarla birlikte bölgede doğal ve kültürel eserlerin yıpranması, kalifiye eleman bulmakta güçlük çekilmesi gibi sorunlar tesbit edilmiştir. The aim of this research is to bring up the potential of tourism in Nevşehir into the puplic view and to suggest solutions by d i termjn ing general problems of tourism. Stating the tourism potential of the province and determining general tourism problems of the same province will provide right decisions which will be made for the development of tourism of the province. The necessary data for this research have been obtained from the previous researches and puplications which were published in this area previously, and from the inquiries which were given to the tourists and accommodation establishments to the province, by using an area research technique. Besides, the tourist demands for the province from 1980 to 1990 have been determined and the statistical datum of the Tourism Ministry were used for the determination, and using the linear trend method the demands and the requirements of beds for the future have been estimated. At the end of the research, the tourism supplies of the province have been stated in all aspects. As a consequence of the comparison between the demands and supplies, it has been determined that there and is an uequilibriurn between the demand of beds and supplies of bedsbecause of excessive bed supplies. This negative condition decreases the productivity of the accommodation establishments. Besides, some problems have been determined such as s the distortion of historical and cultural wealth and the difficulty in finding qualified employees in tourism sector. As a conctution, suggestions for the solution of these determined problems have stated in this research.
