Özet
Bu arastırma, Mersin belediye sınırları içinde çalısan ebelerin is doyum düzeylerini ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıstır. Arastırmanın evrenini, arastırmanın yapıldıgı tarihte (01.01.2006?30.04.2006) Mersin Belediye sınırları içindeki 22 Saglık Ocagı'nda çalısan 324, Ana-Çocuk Saglıgı ve Aile Planlaması Merkezi'nde çalısan 23, l Saglık Müdürlügü'nde çalısan 3, Toros Devlet Hastanesi'nde çalısan 18, Mersin Devlet Hastanesi'nde çalısan 133 ve l Ambulans Servisinde çalısan 30 ebe olmak üzere toplam 531 ebe olusturmustur. Arastırmanın örneklemini ise evrenin %50'si olusturmustur. Arastırma verileri, ebelerin tanıtıcı bilgilerinin soruldugu anket formu ve?Hemsirelik s doyum Ölçegi? kullanılarak toplanmıstır. Elde edilen veriler, SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 11.5 paket programı kullanılarak degerlendirilmistir. Verilerin analizinde; yüzdelik dagılım, Kruskall-Wallis ve Mann-Whitney U, Dunn testleri kullanılmıstır. Arastırma kapsamına alınan ebelerin %57.7'si 30-39 yas grubu arasındadır. Ebelerin %39.2'sinin AÖF önlisans mezunu ve %71.1'inin saglık ocagında çalısmakta oldugu saptanmıstır. Ebelerin %32.3'ünün meslekte çalısma süresi 16-20 yıl aralıgındadır. Tüm ebelerin genel is doyum puan ortalaması 49.08 olarak saptanmıstır. Yasın, medeni durumun, çocuk sahibi olma durumunun, egitim düzeyinin, ebeligi yeniden meslek olarak seçme isteginin, çalısılan birimin, çalısma süresinin, gece çalısma durumunun genel is doyumu üzerinde etkili oldugu belirlenmistir (p<0.05). Ayrıca ebelerin isin kendisi-niteligi boyutundan en yüksek düzeyde, ücret boyutundan ise en düsük düzeyde doyum sagladıkları saptanmıstır. Sonuç olarak ebelerin islerinden doyum saglamadıkları saptanmıstır. Ebelerin ücret ve çalısma ortamlarının düzeltilmesi, gelisme ve yükselme olanaklarından esit olarak yaralanmalarının önem kazandıgı görülmüstür. Sonuçlar dogrultusunda önerilerde bulunulmustur.

This study was carried out as a descriptive study aiming to determine the level and the affecting factors of job satisfaction of midwives working within the boundaries of Mersin municipality. The universe of the study consists of totally 531 midwives who were working within the baundaries of Mersin manucipality during the date of the study (01.01.2006 - 30.04.2006), 324 midwives from 22 village clinics, 23 midwives from Maternity Child Welfare and Family Planning Centre, 3 midwives from local health authority and 18 midwives from Toros State Hospital, 133 midwives from Mersin State Hospital and 30 midwives from Provincial Ambulance Service. The sample consisted of 50 % of the study universe. Study data were collected using a questionnairre form which included questions about the identifier information of midwives and ? Nursing Job Satisfaction Scale?. The collected data were evaluated using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 11.5. In the analysis of the data percentage dispersion, Kruskall- Wallis ve Mann-Whitney U, Dunn tests were used. It was found that %57.7 of the midwives who were participated in the study were aging between 30- 39 years old, %39.2 of the midwives who graduated from associate degree programs, %71.1 of the midwives who working in village clinics, and 32.3 % of the midwives who completed a 16- 20 years working period ( The mean value of the job satisfaction level of the midwives was 49.08 according to the results of this reseach. Factors such as, age, marital status, having a child, educational level, choosing the profession by will, working department, working duration, working night shifts were considered as factors affecting general job satisfaction (p < 0.05). Also, the highest satisfaction level was optained with the work itself, however salary was the lowest job satisfaction for midwives. Consequently, it was stated that the midwives couldn?t satisfy with their jobs, on the other hand improving their working condition, using the oppotunities for development and advancement on an equitable basis seemed to gain importance. Some suggestions were made in the light of the study findings.
