Özet

Bu araştırmada, Çoklu Zeka Kuramına göre hazırlanan öğretim etkinliklerinin,öğrencilerin matematik başarılarına, öğrenilen bilgilerin kalıcılığına ve matematiktutumuna etkileri ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır.Araştırma kapsamında, lköğretim 6. sınıf matematik dersi konularından?Kesirler? ünitesi seçilmiştir.Araştırmada, ön-test son-test kontrol gruplu model kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanınörneklemini 2004-2005 eğitim-öğretim yılında Kocaeli ili zmit lçesi Alikahya lköğretimOkulu'nun 6/B ve 6/C sınıflarında okuyan 70 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır.Seçilen gruplara; öğretilecek konu öncesi ön test ve matematik tutum ölçeği, konusonrası son test ve matematik tutum ölçeği ile konu bitiminden iki ay sonra kalıcılık testiuygulanmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin gelişkin zeka tiplerini belirlemek amacıyla Çoklu Zekabelirleme anketi ve kişisel bilgiler anketi uygulanmıştır.Deney grubunda konu Çoklu Zeka Kuramına uygun hazırlanmış ders planlarıtakip edilerek işlenirken, kontrol grubunda klasik öğretim metotları kullanılmıştır.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgularla iki grup karşılaştırılmıştır. Verilerinanalizi SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Analizlerde anlamlılık seviyesi0,05 olarak kabul edilmiştir.Çoklu Zeka Kuramına uygun planlar takip edilerek yapılan öğretimin, matematikbaşarısını, öğrenilen bilgilerin kalıcılığını ve matematiğe karşı tutumu manidar olarakolumlu yönde artırdığı görülmüştür.

Within this research it was tried to reveal the effects of the teaching activitieswhich are designed in accord to the Multiple Intelligences Theory on students? success inmathematics, on the permanence of the knowledge learned and on the attitudes towardmathematics.Within the content of the research the unit of ?Fractions? was chosen among thesubjects in the Maths syllabus of the sixth grades of primary education.The pre-test, post-test, control grouped model was used in the research. 70students attending the classes of 6/B and 6/C of Alikahya Primary Education School ofcounty of zmit of city of Kocaeli in 2004-2005 academic year have formed the samplespace of the study.To the chosen groups pre-test and mathematics attitude scale before the subject tobe tought; post-test and mathematics attitude scale after the subject together with apermanence test two months after the completion of the subject were applied. BesidesMultiple Intelligences inventory to determine the types of improving intelligences ofstudents and personel information inventory were applied.In the experimental group while the subject was tought following the lesson plansdesigned according to the Multiple Intelligences Theory, traditional teaching methods wereused in the control group.The two groups were compared within the findings obtained as the result of theresearch. The analysis of the datum was made by the use of the SPSS statistics program.The significance level in the analysis was accepted as 0,05.It was seen that the teaching made by following the plans suitable for the MultipleIntelligences Theory increased the mathematics achievement, the retention of theknowledge learned and the attitudes toward mathematics in a significant, positive way.
