According to Kuran, the moslems holly book, one of the basic les is that“trading is free but lending money including interest prohibited”. So the Islamic banks which operate on the îslams gulations don't charge or pay interest. They contract with the edit appliers on the profit or loss sharing base method. Generally ey act as special partners and coordinate depositor investigator lations and then regarding the previously determined percentages vide profit (less) among partners (bank, depositors and vestigators). Most of them are private and only some are hald by lamic governments. Islamic banks look beyond the profit and try to help people trough their methods. They also control investments. For example, >nt lend money to compaines to procude alkholik drinks. Islamic banks general aim is to gather moslem's (who dont want to irn interet) savings and also petro - capitals. Their special matters which differs them from the normal westernized banks) are : - Help investigators by lending interest tree loans, -Control fund applications from the sosyal and economic views and ike sure that they are usful. The most importent matter is that the Islamic banks can only be fficiently and sufficiently supported and ruled by moslems. W
