Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ülkemizdeki biyoloji öğretiminde yapılandırmacıyaklaşımla ilgili yapılan çalışmaların kısa bir değerlendirmesini yaparak, yenidenyapılandırılan eğitim sistemimizde ki geçiş sürecinin biyoloji eğitimi açısındandurumunu incelemektir. Çalışmada belgesel kaynak derlemesi metodu kullanılmıştır.Sonuç olarak şu tespitlere ulaşılmıştır;Yapılandırmacılık, genel yapısı itibariyle çağdaş bir biyoloji öğretimineuygundur.Yapılandırmacılık geleneksel öğretim modeline göre, bireyi ezberden kurtaranve anlamlı öğrenmeyi sağlayan bir yaklaşımdır. Aynı zamanda, öğrencilerin zihnindevar olan kavram yanılgılarını gidermede etkilidir. Bununla birlikte, gelenekselmodele göre daha fazla zaman alıcıdır.Öğrencilerin akademik başarıları baz alındığında, yapılandırmacı öğretimyaklaşımıyla geleneksel öğretim yöntemi arasında anlamlı bir fark yoktur.Ülkemiz eğitim kurumlarının fiziki alt yapısı açısından, yapılandırmacıyaklaşımın bütünüyle uygulanmasına müsait değildir.Öğretmenlerimiz yapılandırmacı öğretim yaklaşımı konusunda yeterli bilgiyesahip değildir.

The aim of this study is to briefly evaluate the researches done in our countryabout the constructionist approach in teaching biology and to examine the case oftransition process of the re-organized educational system with regard to education ofbiology . In this study, the Collecting Documentary Data Method has been used. Theresults obtained are as follows:The Constructionist Approach, by its nature in general, is suitable for modernBiology Education.The Constructionist Approach, when compared with the traditionalpattern, is themethod which leads the individual from memorizing to conceptional learning. It isalso effective in eliminating delusive notions in students minds. However, it ,s moretime consuming than the traditional method.As regard to students academic achievements, there is no significant differencebetween the construcitonist approach and the traditional method.When the physical infra-structure of the educational institutions in our country isconsidered, the constructionist approach is not widely applicable.Our teachers are not equipped with enough knowledge and skills required by theconstructionist approach.
