Özet
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı MEB 2005 öğretim programına göre hazırlanan 9. sınıf matematik ders kitaplarının değerlendirilmesidir. Bu değerlendirmeyi yapmak için bir ölçüt, anket formunda geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen ölçütün esasını Amerikan Bilimi İlerletme Kurulu (American Association for The Advancement of Science) tarafından hazırlanmış olan Proje 2061'de de kullanılan bir ölçüt oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada yapılan değerlendirmede yedi ana ölçüt belirlenmiş ve kullanılmıştır. Bu ölçütler; 1. Amaçları Ortaya Koyma, 2. Matematik Hakkında Öğrenci Fikirlerini Dikkate Alma, 3. Matematiğe Öğrencinin İlgisini Çekme, 4. Matematiksel Fikirleri Geliştirme, 5. Öğrencilerin Kavramlar ve Olaylar Hakkında Fikir Yürütmelerini Teşvik Etme, 6. Öğrencilerin Matematik Gelişimini Değerlendirme, 7. Matematik Öğrenme Ortamını Geliştirmedir. Bu çalışmada belirlenen eğitimsel ölçütlere göre matematik ders kitaplarının öğretmenler tarafından değerlendirilmesine yer verilmiştir.İlk olarak 9. sınıfta okutulan iki ders kitabı için Bursa Hürriyet Anadolu Lisesinde çalışan 8 matematik öğretmeni ile yukarıdaki ölçütler bağlamında mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Daha sonra bu ölçütlere göre hazırlanan likert tipi anket her bir ünitenin öğretiminden sonra 8 matematik öğretmenine uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca, bu anket 9. sınıflarda okutulan iki ayrı matematik ders kitaplarını (A ve B) genel değerlendirmek amacıyla toplam 70 öğretmene uygulanmıştır. Kullanılan ölçeğin SPSS paket programı ile hesaplanan Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0,88 olarak bulunmuştur.Yedi boyut açısından genel değerlendirmeye baktığımızda öğretmenlerin görüşleri arasında kitap türüne göre anlamlı bir fark görülmüştür[t(68)= 2,278, p>.05]. Bu bulgular; öğretmenler A kitabının B'ye göre daha çok ölçütlerle örtüştüğünü göstermekle birlikte her iki ders kitabının tüm ölçütlere orta düzeyde uyduğunu göstermiştir.Sonuç olarak, Uluslararası standartları yakalamak için matematik ders kitapları; AAAS tarafından hazırlanan Proje 2061'in matematik ders kitapları için belirlediği yedi ana ölçütte yer alan toplam yirmi beş maddeye göre değerlendirilmelidir.

The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the 9th grade mathematics textbooks prepared for according to the new mathematics curriculum. For this purpose, the specific criterion developed by the Project 2061 was used. These criteria were adapted from Project 2061 organized by American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). During the evaluation in this research, seven major educational criteria were specified and utilized. These are; 1. Exposing the Goals, 2. Considering Students? Ideas about Mathematics, 3. Engaging Students? Attention to Mathematics, 4. Developing Mathematical Ideas, 5. Promoting Students? Thinking about Events and Concepts, 6. Assessing Students? Mathematical Progress, 7. Enhancing the Mathematics Learning Environment. According to the determined criteria above, assessment of the mathematics textbooks has been made by mathematics teachers in this study.Firstly, a structured interview form prepared to evaluate the two textbooks taught at 9th grade according to these criteria and eight mathematics teachers working at Bursa Hürriyet Anatolian High School were interviewed based on the seven criteria. Secondly, a Likert type questionnaire prepared to these criteria was applied to the same eight teachers after their teaching of the each unit. Additionally, the questionnaire were applied to total 70 high school teachers to evaluate the two 9th grade mathematics textbook (A and B) in general. The Cronbach alfa reliability coefficient of the measurement tool was found as 0, 88 by using SPSS packet program.Based on the seven criteria after the general evaluation of the textbooks, teachers opinions changed significantly according to the textbook type[t(68)= 2,278, p>.05]. Findings also revealed that both textbooks have matched with the seven criteria at average level while teachers stated that textbook A has more covered those criteria than textbook B.Finally, to capture the international standarts, mathematics textbooks should be evaluated by considering the seven main criteria which includes total 25 items determined by Project 2061 and organized by AAAS.
