Özet
Bu çalısmanın amacı, Kimya dersi Alkoller ve Eterler ünitesinin Çoklu Zekâ Kuramı'na dayalı ögretiminin Lise 3. sınıf ögrencilerinin basarı, tutum ve ögrendikleri bilgilerin kalıcılıgına etkisi arastırmaktır. Ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel tasarımının kullanıldıgı bu çalısmada, 2005-2006 EgitimÖgretim yılında Bursa ilinde bulunan bir ortaögretim kurumunda ögrenim gören 3. sınıf düzeyindeki 60 ögrenci, arastırmanın örneklemini olusturmaktadır. Örneklem rasgele kontrol (N = 30) ve deney (N = 30) grupları olarak ikiye ayrılmıstır. Arastırma süresince ögrenciler, haftada iki saat olmak üzere 40 dakikalık 8 ders boyunca çalısmalara katılmıstır. Kontrol grubundaki ögrenciler ile geleneksel ögretim yöntemine göre, deney grubundaki ögrencilerle ise Çoklu Zekâ Kuramı'na göre hazırlanmıs ögretim etkinlikleri ile dersler islenmistir. Her iki grupta dersler arastırmacı tarafından verilmis olup, kontrol ve deney grubunun egitim çalısmaları 8 ders saatinde tamamlanmıstır. Deney grubuna uygulama baslamadan önce 1 ders saati ayrılmıs ve Çoklu Zekâ Kuramı tanıtılmıstır. Çalısma sonunda elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS 11 yazılımı kullanılarak degerlendirilmistir. Arastırmanın verileri Basarı Testi, Çoklu Zekâ Anketi ve Kimya Tutum Ölçegi ile toplanmıstır. Verilerin degerlendirilmesinde t-Testi, ANCOVA analizi, Varyans Analizi istatistiksel teknikleri kullanılmıstır. Çalısmanın sonuçları, Çoklu Zekâ Kuramı'na dayalı ögretimin, ögrencilerin Alkoller ve Eterler ünitesindeki Kimya dersi basarılarına ve Kimya dersine yönelik tutumlarına anlamlı bir etkisinin oldugunu göstermistir.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the Multiple Intelligences based Instruction on 11th Grade high school students? achievement, attitude and the retention of the knowledge of the chemistry unit of alcohols and ethers compared to the traditional instruction method. The study, which constituted of a pre-test posttest control group semi experimental design, was conducted in 2005?2006 academic year in a high school in Bursa with the participation of two 11th grade chemistry students (N = 60) for two hours per week in a four-week period. The classes were randomly assigned as control (N = 30) and experimental (N = 30) groups. The classes were held with traditional methods in the control group while in the experimental group the same lessons were instructed with activities in accordance with the Multiple Intelligences Theory. In both groups the lessons were instructed by the researcher and completed in eight class hour time. In the experimental group, before the study was put into practice, the Multiple Intelligences Theory was introduced in one hour. The data obtained in this study was analyzed on a computer using SPSS 11 statistics software. The data of the study was collected with Achievement Test, Multiple Intelligences Questionnaire and Chemistry Attitude Scale. In the analysis of the data t-Test, ANCOVA and Variance Analysis statistical techniques were used. The results of the study showed that, as compared to the traditional instruction, there is a significant effect of Multiple Intelligences-based instruction on the students? achievement in chemistry regarding Alcohols and Ethers unit and attitude toward chemistry.
