Özet
ÖZET“Oğlum, kızım belli bir fakültede ve yüksekokulda başarılı olabilecek mi?”sorusu anne ve babaların sık sık sordukları bir sorudur. Bu soru tüm öğrenci velilerini ilgilendirir ve öğrencileri rahatsız eder. Bu ilgi ve endişe yerindedir, çünkü orta öğretimden yüksek öğretime geçiş okul seçimi ile ilgili son derece kritik ve önemli bir kararın verilmesini gerektirir. Yüksek öğretim yapmak isteyen gençlerin her yıl sayısının biraz daha artması ve bunların yetenekleri arasındaki farkların genişlemesi, sorunu hem şimdi hem de gelecekte daha ciddi bir duruma getirecektir. Yapılan bu çalışmada çeşitli lise türlerinden mezun öğrencilerin sosyal, sağlık, teknik ve temel bilimler kanlarındaki akademik basanları, Lise türü ile birlikte bölge ve cinsiyetin de etkisi değerlendirmelerde dikkate alınarak istatistiksel yöntemlerle incelenmiştir. Yapılan bu araştırmanın, yükseköğretime öğrenci seçimi işlemine katkıda bulunacağı umulmaktadır.

ABSTRACT“ Will my son, my daughter be able to be successful in a definite taculty and a universty?”This question is asked several times by many parents. This question concerns all the parents and disturbs the students. This idea is true because choosing the right school is the most important and critic decision for both the students and the parents. Both the number of the students who want to go to university and the differeces between their talents rises fastly every year. That is a big problem now and also will be a very serious problem in the future. In this study the effects of the students' high schools and the sexes with the district on the academic successes of the students who graduated from social health, technics and basic sciences were researched with statistical methods. This research is supposed to be useful for choosing students for university. 11
