SUMMARY In this study, a structural system which is subjected to leads and which consists of shearwalls and frames has been investigated statically. Three basic methods are scrutinized to distribute lateral loads between shearwall and frame. A two staged discontinuous shearwall-frame system has been taken as a main structural system for this study. The Differential Equation Method constitutes the basis of the study. Two staged discontinuous shearwall-frame system has been investigated for two zones using the main principles and equations developed in [ 2 ] and [ 3 ] ; the differential constants have been obtained using compatibility and boundary conditions. Numerical examples using three different statical method have been solved and the moment -shearforce diagrams have been platted. Apart from these, a comparison of these three methods have been made and the error ratios of the methods have been represented in the Conclusions section.
