SUMMARY In the master thesis named“Bir Ermeni Araştırmacı, Kevork Pamukciyan”life and writings of Pamukciyan who is a researcher that intrduced the Armenian historical sources to Turkish history are tried to be presented.All of the Turkish studies of him are glanced, but only few Armenian studies are reached. He lived in 20 th century and make some studies using with Armenian and Turkish, sometimes he is called as a historian and sometimes also as a literary man and also translator. To be used historical sources is not admitted like historians and able to use literary materials is not show that he is in a literary world. Translations is an another scientific sphere icluded in literature. In this thesis, history, literature and translation and their methods are defined. Pamukciyan' s works are examined carefully in the light of these three matters and in conclusion, he is not a historian, a literary man or a translator. In the studies of Pamukciyan it is seen that the methods of to clarify the source, the type of the explain the knowledge and his style of study are gone over in a local history and decided that he is a researcher.
