Özet

ÖZET Bu araştırmanın amacı, bilimsel problem çözme yönteminin, lise birinci sınıf coğrafya dersi iklim ünitesinin öğretiminde öğrencilerin başarıları üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma deneysel desen modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak başarı testi kullanılmıştır. Geliştirilen ölçme aracı Gölbaşı Endüstri Meslek Lisesi 1. sınıf öğrenicilerinden 58 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın alt problemlerinin çözümlenmesinde çift yönlü varyans analizi (repeated measures) yapılmış; frekans, yüzde ve aritmetik ortalama değerleri kullanılmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubunun deney öncesi ve deney sonrası öntest ve sontest toplam İklim ünitesi testi başarı puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin İklim ünitesi başarıları ile ilgili olarak, öntest - sontest ortalama başarı puanları arasında anlamlı bir fark vardır. İki ayrı öğretim modelinin uygulandığı deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin İklim ünitesi testine ait başarı puanlarının deney öncesinden sonrasına anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği, yani farklı işlem gruplarında (deney ve kontrol grubu ) olmak ile tekrarlı ölçümler faktörlerinin İklim ünitesi testi başarı düzeyleri üzerindeki ortak etkilerinin anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur. II SUMMARY The aim of this research is to determine the effect of scientific method of problem solving on the success of the first class high school students in the climate unit of the geography lesson. The research has been realised on the model of experimental design. The instrument of measurment was applied on 58 first class students of the Gölbaşı Endüstri Meslek Lisesi. In the solution of the sub problems of the research, a double sided variation analysis (repeated measures) was done, and the values of frequency, percent and arithmetical average wene used. A meaningful differance was determined between the success scores of the experimantal and control group in the pre-test, final test and the total test on the“climate unit”. A meaningful difference was defermined between the average success scores of the students in the pre-test and final test on the“climate unit”Success scores of the sudents in the experiment and control groups, to wich two different models were applied the pre-experimental stage, to the post - experimental stage. It means that the common affects of the repeated measurement factors and being in different groups (experimental and control groups), on the success level in the test of the“climate unit”, is meaningful.
