Özet (Çeviri)

The metaphysics of îbrı-i Sînâ is based on the concept of existence. He accepts the existence as an evident concept. But Descartes has reached the concept of existence starting from the concept of the methodic doubt. Like îbn-i Sînâ, Descartes believes that the existence is evident too. Both philosophers have demonstrated the existence of Allah with the ontological proof with the proof of cause. They alsn have admitted that soul is a spiritual substance. And they have the same or similiar views about these matters. Descartes admits that Allah is substance. But, Allah is not substance in îbn-i Sina's opinion. While îbn-i Sînâ is claiming that there is an aim in the universe but Descartes admits that the universe works with mechanical laws. In Descartes' s opinion there is no aim in the universe. Animals and plants have not souls in His opinion. These beings are only machines. On the other hand İbn-i Sînâ believes that animals and plants have souls and they are living beings. The similiar points between them show that Descartes is under the influence of İbn-i Sînâ indrectly.
