ÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi BAZI AMİNO ASİT ESTERLERİNİN ÇEŞİTLİ ORTAMLARDA PROTONASYON SABİTLERİNİN POTANSİYOMETRİK YÖNTEMLE TAYİNİ Ayşegül GÜLTEPE Ankara Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Kimya Anabilim Dalı Danışman : Yrd. Doç.Dr. Esin CANEL Bu çalışmada amino asitlerden L-tirozin, L-sistein, L-triptofan, L-lisin ve L-histidinin ve bunların etil ve metil esterlerinin stokiyometrik protonasyon sabitleri, su ortamı ve %30 etanol-%70 su.%50 etanol-%50 su, %70 etanol - %30 su ortamlarında potansiyometrik titrasyon yöntemi ile tayin edilmiştir. Protonasyon sabitleri BEST bilgisayar programı kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Titrasyonlar 25°C de ve 0,1 M sodyum klorürlü ortamda ORION 960 model otomatik titratör kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Ayrıca bulunan protonasyon sabitlerinin çözücü bileşimi ile değişimi de araştırılmıştır. Esterlerin logKj değerlerinin etanol yüzdesi arttıkça genellikle arttığı ve logfe değerlerinin ise etanol yüzdesi arttıkça azaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Amino asitlerin logK değerlerinin ise doğrusal olmayan bir şekilde değiştiği gözlenmiştir. 2004, 69 sayfa

ABSTRACT Master Thesis THE DETERMINATION OF PROTONATION CONSTANTS OF SOME AMINO ACID ESTERS BY POTENTIOMETRIC METHOD IN DIFFERENT MEDIA Ayşegül GÜLTEPE Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences Department of Chemistry Supervisor : Asst. Prof. Dr. Esin CANEL In this study, stoichiometric protonation constants of L-tyrosine,L-cysteine, L- tryptophane, L-lysine and L-histidine amino acids and their methyl and ethyl esters were determined in water and ethanol-water mixtures of 30, 50, 70 % ethanol (v/v) by potentiometric titration method. Protonation constants were calculated using BEST computer programme. Titrations were performed in an ionic strength of 0,1 M NaCl at 25° C by using ORION 960 automatic titrator. Also, the changes of protonation constants in % of ethanol were investigated. It's seen that logKi values of esters were generally increased with the increase of % ethanol and logK.2 values were decreased with the increase of % ethanol. Also, the changes in logK values of amino acids were not lineer. 2004, 69 pages
