Özet
ELDutilleux, XX.yy akımlanndan herhangi birisinin içerisine yerleştirilemez, aynı zamanda yaşadığı dönemin akımlarına açık ve özgün bir yolda ilerler. Bu sayede belli bir alam içinde hapsolmayıp, ifadesini özgür ve zengin bir biçimde eserlerine yansıtır. Az sayıda eserden oluşan üretiminin içinde yer alan anahtar konumundaki Piyano Sonatı, bu çalışmada asıl konu edilen ve analizi yapılan eserdir. Sonuç olarak bu eser, Dutilleux'nun ödün vermez tutumu ve kuvvetli sezgileriyle başarıyla şekil verdiği bir yapıttır. Yapıtm analizi geleneksel tonal mimariyi gözeten bir yaklaşımla yapılamaz. Eseri incelerken bestecinin getirdiği yeniliklere ve buluşlara ağırlık verilmiş ve sonatın dinamizmini ve ilgi çekiciliğini yüksek düzeyde taşıyan bu özellikler sergilenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunun yam sura, Dutilleux'nun konumunu daha rahat kavrayabilmek için, XX.yy' in genel özellikleri ve sonat biçirninin gelişimi, ana hatlarıyla sergilenmiştir.

RDutilleux cannot be put into a certain place within the trends of the XXth century; but despite of that, composer's progress is very specific and open to the trends of his age. Thus, he does not imprison himself into the boundaries of a certain trend and reflects his expression kind to his works freely and richly. His piano sonata, which has a key position amongst his works, is the essential theme of this thesis and is comprehensively analyzed herein. Conclusively, we can say that this work is a composition that is formed successfully by Dutilleux thanks to his special manner and powerful intuitions in composing where he never gives any concession from his characteristic style. The analysis of this work, however, cannot be made by an approach that considers the traditional and tonal architecture. When investigating the work, a special importance has been attached to the novelties and creations introduced by the composer, and all the specific characteristics of the work, which enhance the dynamism and attractiveness of the sonata have been tried to be described and represented. Besides that, in order to comprehend Dutilleux's manner much better, the general peculiarities of the XXth century and the development of the sonata style has been described in general.
