oz Bu çalışmada 19.yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti' nin Sivas Livası' nm Tokat Sancağı' na bağlı Niksar Kazası' nm sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı, Osmanlı Arşivi kaynakları ışığında çeşitli veçheleriyle incelenilmişim Ele alınan bölgenin ilgili dönemdeki nüfus, üretim yapısı, işletmelerin nitelikleri, gelirin kaynakları, tarımsal verimlilik ve vergiler gibi ekonomik ve sosyal hayatın temel alanlarıyla ilgili ayrıntılı kantitatif bilgiler üretilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma karşılaştırmalı bir ekonomik ve sosyal yapı değerlendirmesi niteliğindedir. ABSTRACT In this study social and economic structure of Niksar town of Tokat province of Sivas state of Ottoman Empire is examined in various aspects under the light of Ottoman archives. Detailed and quantitative information is tried to be provided concerning the basic areas of economic and social life such as population, structure of production, attributes of enterprises, sources of income, agricultural productivity and taxes of the considered region. The study is a comprative economic and social structure evaluation. Ill
