ÖZET Yüksek Lisans Tezi SANAL SINIF EĞİTİM MERKEZİ YAZILIM PROJESİ Yalın Kılıç TÜREL Fuat Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Elektronik Bilgisayar Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı 2003, Sayfa : 78 Eğitimde kalitenin yükseltilmesi, firsat eşitsizliğinin giderilmesi, maliyetin en aza indirgenmesi gibi gereksinimler, klasik eğitim sisteminden farklı bir eğitim anlayışının gelişmesine neden olmuştur. Bu amaçla, uzaktan eğitim kavramının ortaya çıkmasının ardından, çağın teknolojisine uygun yöntemlerin gelişmesi süreci devam etmektedir. Uzaktan eğitim, bireylerin zaman ve mekandan bağımsız olarak eğitim faaliyeti içinde yer almasına imkan tanır. Tez çalışmasında, öncelikle uzaktan eğitim yöntemlerinden biri olan Web'e dayalı uzaktan eğitimin özelliklerine, avantaj ve dezavantajlarına değinilmiştir. Bu tür bir eğitim sisteminin etkin ve verimli kullanılabilmesinde büyük rol oynayan otomasyon programlan incelenmiş, sahip olmaları gereken özellikler üzerinde durulmuştur. Otomasyon sistemlerinin yapısı, tasannu ve proje aşamaları belirtildikten sonra bu konudaki mevcut ihtiyaçlara çözüm getirecek örnek bir sanal sınıf otomasyonu modeli oluşturulacaktır. Uzaktan eğitim faaliyeti içinde yer alan öğretmenler temel bilgisayar ve İnternet kullanım bilgisi ile sanal derslikler açabilecek ve bu derslikler vasıtasıyla bilgilerini İnternet teknolojisinin imkanları ile öğrencilere sunabileceklerdir.

ABSTRACT Master Thesis VIRTUAL CLASS EDUCATION CENTER SOFTWARE PROJECT Yalın Kılıç TÜREL Fırat University Graduate School of Natural Applied Sciences Department of Electronics and Computer Education 2003, Page : 78 The need to improve the quality of education, to eliminate inequity of opportunities and to minimize the cost, etc caused the development of a different education concept rather than the classical system. Following the emergence of distance-education, methods suitable to the contemporary technologies have started to develop. Distance education allows the individuals to participate in the education activities regardless of time and place. In this study, firstly, the specifications, advantages and disadvantages of Web-based distance education were identified. The automation programs, which have a great role in using this type of education system effectively, were analyzed; the required characteristics of them were identified. After defining the structure, design and project stages, a sample virtual class automation model will be designed in order to answer the existing requirements on this issue. The teachers involved in distance education activities will be able to open virtual classrooms with basic computer and internet skills and from these classrooms, they will be able to present the information to their students by using the advantages of internet technology.
