Özet
ÖZET Bu araştırmada ilköğretim okullarında bilgisayar destekli öğretimin Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde kullanımının akademik başarıya ve hatırlama düzeyine etkililiği incelenerek, öğretmenlerin öğretim yöntemleri, teknikleri, materyalleri, etkinlikleri konusundaki düşüncelerini ve bunları kullanma durumları ile bilgisayar destekli öğretim konusundaki düşünceleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin akademik başarıları ve öğrenmenin kalıcı olması yönünden, bilgisayar destekli öğretimle işlenen bir ders ile geleneksel öğretim yöntemleriyle işlenen ders arasındaki farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Konu ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar gözden geçirilerek, bilgisayar destekli öğretimin öğrencinin başarısını arttırdığı ve öğrenmede kalıcılık sağladığı ile öğretmenlerin bilgisayar destekli öğretim konusunda olumlu düşüncelere sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma İlköğretimde Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin öğretiminde kullanılan yöntemlerin, tekniklerin, materyallerin ve etkinliklerin tespiti ve kullanma durumları ile öğretmenlerin bilgisayar destekli öğretim konusunda düşünceleri hakkında sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerini, algılamalarını ve değerlendirmelerini tespit etmeyi amaçladığı için, bir yönüyle tarama modeline; bilgisayar destekli öğretimle işlenen bir ders ile geleneksel öğretim yöntemleriyle işlenen bir dersin başarısının ve hatırlama düzeyine etkisinin kontrollü gözlem yoluyla neden sonuç ilişkilerini belirlemeyi amaçlaması yönüyle de deneme modeline uygun olarak yapılandırılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular ile; bilgisayar destekli öğretimin geleneksel öğretim yöntemlerine göre öğrenmede başarıyı arttırdığı ve öğrenmede kalıcılığı sağladığı tespit edilerek, öğretmenlerin kullandıkları yöntem, teknik, materyal ve etkinliklerle öğretmenlerin bilgisayar destekli öğretim konusunda olumlu düşüncelere sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde öğrenmede daha etkin, verimli ve kalıcılığı sağlamak amacıyla bilgisayar destekli öğretimin kullanımına önem verilmesi, bilgisayar destekli öğretimin öğrenci başarısında ve öğrenmede kalıcılığı sağlamada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. vı

SUMMARY In this study, it has been worked on how using of computer based teaching in the lesson of social studies could affect the academic success and level of recalling. It has been also determined what the instructors think about the computer based teaching and the teaching methods, techniques, materials used in teaching practices and the use of all these by them. Differences between the computer based teaching and the traditional teaching have been put forward, to analyse the academic successes achieved by students and the long term learning. As a result of reviewing findings, it has been definitely proved that the computer - based teaching has increased the level of success performed by students and also ensured a more long term learning and finally that the instructors have positive thoughts about computer - based teaching. On the other hand, together with all these findings above, it also has been aimed to understand the reactions, evaluations and effectiveness of computer- based teaching of the main instructors of the classes about the methods, techniques and materials which are intended to use with the teaching of social study lesson. According to the findings of this study, it has been understood that the computer based teaching is more effective, because it increased the success and ensured a more long term learning level compared to the traditional teaching approaches. The instructors have quite positive thoughts about the computer- based teaching approaches. And as a result, using the above mentioned results, new teaching approaches which are supported by computers promise more successful and more long term learning. vn
