Özet
ÖZET Bir siyasal sistemin dengeli bir şekilde varlığının devamlılığını sağlaması sistem için önemlidir. Siyasal sistemler incelendiğinde, tüm siyasal rejimler gerek resmi gerekse gayri resmi programlarla sistemlerinin devamlılığını sağlamak isterler. Sistemin karar alma mekanizmasını oluşturan hakim otoritenin bu varlığını sürdürmesi sisteme yeni üyelerin kazandırılması süreciyle mümkün olmaktadır. Burada karşımıza çıkan temel unsur politik sosyalizasyondur. Politik sosyalizasyon sürecinde birey içinde yaşadığı politik kültüre uyum sağlayacak, politik değerleri içselleştirecek ve içinde bulunduğu toplumun bir üyesi haline gelecektir. Politik sosyalizasyon çalışmaları bu anlamda bu süreci anlamaya, sürece katkıda bulunan temel unsurları ortaya koymaya yöneliktir. Bu alanda yapılan sosyalizasyon çalışmalarının iki farklı bakış açısına sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bakış açılarından birincisi bireyi inceleme nesnesi olarak ön plana çıkartırken diğer yaklaşım ise bireyi kendine benzeten bir süreç olarak toplumu esas almaktadır. Temelde benimsenen yaklaşım ne olursa olsun sosyalizasyon süreci sosyal bütünleşmeyi ve sistemin devamını sağlamaktadır. Çalışmamızda üniversite öğrencilerinin politik sosyalizasyonu sürecinde çeşitli sosyal kurumların etkisinin ortaya konulması amacıyla Hacettepe, Başkent ve Gazi Üniversitelerinin Edebiyat/Fen-Edebiyat, Mühendislik/Mühendislik-Mimarlık ve Tıp Fakülteleri öğrencileriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada birinci ve dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanan soru kağıdı ile öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik düzeyleri ile siyasal tutumları arasındaki ilişki tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Ill SUMMARY Keeping the existence of a political system on balance is crucial. It can be stated that all of the political systems try to survive their systems either with formal or informal programmes. The existence of dominating authority which is deciding mechanism of the system is bound to the process in which the new candidates are to be convinced to participate to the system. The main factor faced with here is political socialization. During the process of political socialization, the individual will adapt the political culture of the society he lives in, and internalize the political values, and consequently be the member of society. The studies of political socialization, from this point of view, are directed at understanding this process, and exposing the basic elements contributed to the process, It appears that the studies of political socialization have two different perspectives. The first one puts forward the individual as the main subject of study while the other is based on society as a process which adapts the indivudual to itself. No matter which approach is adapted, the period of socialization enables social integration and the continuity of the system as well. This study is performed by means of questionaire with universitiy students studying at Faculties of Literature and Basic Science, Engineering and Architecture and Medicine in Hacettepe, Başkent and Gazi Universities. The aim of it is to expose the effects of different social instutions in the process of political socialization of the university students. In this study, it is also tried to establish the relation between the socio-economic level and the political attitude of the students who are studying at the first and fourth years.
