Ill ÖZET Ergüder, B., İlköğretim Okullarında Öğrencilerin Uğradıkları Kazaların İncelenmesi, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü Ev İdaresi ve Aile Ekonomisi Programı Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Ankara, 2003. Araştırma, öğrencilerin okulda uğradıkları kazaları, kaza sonucu ortaya çıkan durumları ve bu kazalara neden olan faktörleri saptamak amacıyla planlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. Araştırma Ankara iline bağlı 5 merkez ilçedeki okullar arasından örneklem genişliğinin Tabakalı Rastgele Örnekleme Yöntemi ile belirlendiği ve herbir okuldan araştırmaya alınacak okul sayısının Neyman Dağıtımı ile saptandığı toplam 15 okul, 1176 öğrenci üzerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri geliştirilen anket formuna bağlı kalınarak 27.11.2001-15.05.2002 tarihleri arasında öğrencilere uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Araştıma kapsamına alınan öğrencilerin yandan biraz fazlası geçen sene içinde kazaya uğramış (%59.8), çok azı ise geçen sene içinde arkadaşları arasında kazaya uğrayan olduğunu (%35.3) belirtmişlerdir. Erkek öğrenciler (%66.0), kız öğrencilerden (%53.6) ; öğlenci öğrenciler (%65.8) ise sabahçı öğrencilerden (%54.1) daha fazla kazaya uğramıştır (p<0.05). Kazaya uğrama oranı 4. sınıfa kadar artış göstermekte (%70.1), 4. sınıftan sonra ise bu oran azalmaktadır (p<0.05). Kazaya uğradığım hatırlayan öğrenciler kazaların çoğunu teneffüsde (%90.0), yaz mevsiminde (%33.3) ve cuma günü (%10.0) olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Öğrenciler en fazla 1 kere kazaya uğramıştır (%85.2). Geçen yıl içinde kendisinin kazaya uğradığım belirtenlerle, arkadaşlarının kazaya uğradığım belirtenlerde çoğunlukla açık yara meydana gelmiştir. Uğranılan kazalar en fazla okul bahçesinde, daha sonra sınıfta ve merdivende olmuştur. Kazaların yandan fazlası çevresel faktörler nedeniyle (%61.6) olmuştur. Öğrencilerin uğradıkları kazalar sonucunda çoğunlukla bacakları (%44.5) zarar görmüştür. Öğrencilerde uğradıkları kazalara bağlı olarak kalıcı sakatlık olmamakla birlikte %30.7 oranında aktivite kısıtlaması olmuştur. Öğrencilerin uğradıkları kazalar sonucunda öğrenime ara verme oranı (%15.2) ile hastaneye veya doktora gitme oranı (%18.1) düşüktür. Hastaneye veya doktora giden öğrencilere ise genellikle pansuman (%48.3) yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin uğradıkları kazaların çok azında okul veya giyim eşyaları zarar görmüştür (%26.2). Araştırmaya katılan tüm öğrencilerin %37.8'i kazalar ile ilgili okullarda eğitim aldıklarını belirtmişlerdir.

IV ABSTRACT Ergüder, B.9 Study On The Accidents That The Students Who Are in the Primary School Suffer, Hacettepe University, Institute of Health Sciences, Program on Home Management and Family Economics, Post- Graduate Thesis, Ankara, 2003. The study has been planned and carried out in order to determine the accidents that students suffer in the school and the cases that might occur due to the accidents and the factors that lead to these accidents. The study includes totally 15 schools, 1176 students, and the number of schools in the study has been determined by the Neyman Distribution and the sampling broad is determined by the Leveled Random Sampling Method between the schools that are in 5 central districts of Ankara. The data of study have been collected between the dates of 27.11.2001 and 15.05.2002 depending on the questionnaire developed. More than half of the students in the study had suffered from the accidents that happened last year (59.8%), whereas some of them said that they had schoolmates who suffered from the accidents last year (35.3%). The male students (66.0%) had more accidents than the girls (53.6%); the students attending afternoon classes (65.8%) had more accidents than the students attending morning classes (54.1%) (p<0.05). The rate of those suffering from accidents increases among 4th grade pupils (p<0.05). But then this rate goes down among senior pupils. The students who remember suffering from an accident stated that they had the most of the accidents during the breaks (90.0%), in summer (33.3 %) and on Fridays (10.0%). The rate of students who have had accidents not more than once is 85.2 %. last year, most of the accidents were open injuries among those who tell that they had an accident and those who stated that their friends had an accident. The accidents mostly occurred in the schoolyard, in the classroom and on the stairs, respectively. More than half of the accidents were experienced because of the environmental factors (61.6 %). As the result of the accidents, mostly their legs were injured (44.5 %). Luckily, there were no permanent disabilities due to the accidents, and activity restrictions is low: (30.7 %). Among more than half of the accidents that the students suffer, there were neither teachers to help nor any responsible person to give aid. As a result of the accidents that the students suffer, the rate of those who had to cease their education is 15.2 % and the rate of those seeing a doctor or going to hospital are quite low (18.1 %). The students' injuries, who apply to the doctor or hospital, were mostly bandaged (48.3 %). In a few of the accidents, neither school materials nor students' clothes suffered damage (26.2 %). Few of the students who are a part of the study tell that they receive information about the accidents in the schools (37.8 %).
