Özet
ÖZET Osmanlı Tarihinin araştırılmasında en önemli kaynaklardan birisi de Şer'iyye Sicilleridir. Bu belgeler sayesinde o dönemin adli, siyasi, askeri, iktisadi, edebi, sosyal yapısı ile toplumun diğer kurumları hakkında bilgi edinildiği gibi; yerel, mahalle, şehir, köy ve kasabaların tarihleri de öğrenilebilir. Çalışmanın konusu olan“30 Numaralı Kütahya Şer'iyye Sicili”, H.1269 yılında kaleme alınmıştır ki bu da M. 1852- 1853 yıllarına tekabül eder. Türk ve İslam devletlerindeki yargılama geleneğine uygun olarak Kütahya' daki kadılar da mahkemeye intikal eden her türlü yazılı müracaatlara değişik şekillerde cevap verip bunu da tutanaklara geçirmişlerdir. Bu çalışma ile Kütahya ve çevresinin; örf ve adetleri, gelenekleri, yer isimleri, şahısların kullandığı isimler ve unvanlar, toplumun düşünce yapısı, Müslüman olmayanlarla ilişkiler rahatlıkla görülebilir. Yine bu belgeler sayesinde toplumun temelini oluşturan aile kurumunun önemi, aile içerisinde meydana gelen gelişmeler, miras ve nafaka problemlerinin çözüm şekli öğrenilebilir. Ölen kişinin bıraktığı şeylerin mirasçılara paylaşımı olan“Tereke”sayesinde hem ülkenin hem de şehir ve ailelerin iktisadi durumu hakkında bir fikre varılabilir. Yapılan bu çalışma ile genelde Osmanlı Tarihinin, özelde ise Kütahya'nın yerel tarihinin araştırılmasına katkı sağlaması umulmaktadır.

VI ABSTRACT One of the most important resources in the research of the Ottoman History is the registers of religious laws. With the help of these documents we can learn alot of things about the Judicial, political, economical, social, military and literary structure of the society in that period of time. We can also learn about the local history of the cities, towns, villages and districts.“The 30 th registers of religious laws of Kütahya”Which is the topic of this research was written in H.1269 and this is about 1852 - 1853 A.D. The judges in Kütahya answered all the written applications that were submitted to the court of law, according to the traditional trial systems in other Turkish and Islamic countries and registered them. With this research the traditions, usage and customs of Kütahya and its environment, the place names, the names that people used, how people used to think and the relations with people who were not muslim can be learnt easily. In addition, with the help of these documents the importance of family, the events that take place in the family, the solution of the problems of inheritance and assigning a subsistence can be seen. By“Tereke”, which means the sharing of the things left by the dead person, we can reach a conclusion about the economical position of the country, cities and families. With this work it is hoped to add something to the research about Ottoman History in general and especially to the local history of Kütahya.
