Özet
ÖZET Kader kavramı, insanlık tarihi boyunca tartışılan konuların başında gelmiştir. İnsanlık düşünce tarihinde bir problem olarak günümüze kadar gelen kader, toplumların yaşayışlarında son derece etkili olmuştur. İslam dininde de kaderin, yüzyıllar boyunca İslâm teologları tarafından tartışıldığı görülmektedir. Araştırma önemini; gelişen dünyada toplum yapısında hâlâ geçerliliğini koruyan dinî düşünce ve buna bağlı olarak kader inancının gençler üzerindeki etkisinden almaktadır. Bu araştırmada tespit edilen temel ve alt problemler doğrultusunda, 15-18 yaşlar arası gençlerin kader inançlarıyla, bu inançlarının tutum ve davranışlara etkisi tasviri mahiyette ortaya konulmuştur. Bütün bunlar; Psikoloji ve onun bir alt bilim dalı olan Din Psikolojisi'nin sınırları ve bakış açılan dikkate alınarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın teorik ve uygulama olmak üzere iki boyutu vardır. Teorik çerçevenin oluşturulması için, ilk önce literatür taraması yapılmış ve konunun sınırları belirlenmiştir. Daha sonra konuyla ilgili temel kavramlar olan; kader kavramının ve İslâm dünyasında yaygın olan kader ekollerinin genel özellikleri ve son olarak ta 15-18 yaş gençlerin psiko-sosyal özellikleri ile ilgili genel bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Konunun teorik çerçevesi belirlendikten sonra, örneklem ünitesinden bilgi toplamak amacıyla anket tekniği uygulanmıştır. Anket, üç farklı okulda 288 öğrenci üzerinde tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle uygulanmıştır. Bu uygulamalarda, yaş, cinsiyet, okul türü temel değişkenleri ile kader inancı arasındaki ilişki bilimsel metotla tespit edilmiş ve konu hakkında geliştirilen hipotezler test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda da elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda genel değerlendirme yapılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur XI

SUMMARY Concept of destiny has become a leading one among which the topics have been argued through human history. Destiny, it is accepted as a problem till nowadays in the history of human thought, has shown a major effect on life of communities. Destiny in Islam has also been seen being discussed for many centuries by the Islamic theologists. One of the reasons that raise this problem is surely an argument that whether Allah has only the power and determines the events or this power can be shared by human. In addition to this argument, another primary question awaiting an answer is Allah's infinitive mighty and absolute will how can be reconciliated by human will and freedom. This research receives its importance from the validity of religious thought in community structure at developing world and regarding of the effects of destiny belief on the youth. In this research, concerning the determined primary and sub problems, fifteen to eighteen years old youths' destiny beliefs and effects on their attitudes and behaviors have been discussed. All of the research has been conducted by taking the borders of psychology and religious psychology, as its sub division, and their point of view into consideration. The research is in two folds as theoric and experimental. Literature survey has been carried out to form the theoretical frame and then the subject boundaries have been determined. The thesis gives information about basic concepts related to destiny and characteristics of widespread school of thoughts in Islamic world. Finally, the information is given about social characteristics of fifteen to eighteen years old youths. After the theoretical frame of the subject determined, a questionnaire technique has been used to collect information from a sample unit. The questionnaire has been applied to two hundred and eighty-eight students at three different schools by using random sampler method. In these questionnaires, a relation has been detected between basic variables such as age, sex, school type and destiny belief by a scientific method, and the hypothesizes developed about the subject have been tested. At the end of the research, a general evaluation regarding the data obtained has been made and the suggestions are proposed. XII
