Özet
öz Bu tezde, Riemann-Christoffel tansörünûn invaryant cebirsel özelliklerine dayalı Petrov sınıflandırılmasının, bu tansörün belirlediği uzay-zaman geometrisinin fiziksel özellikleriyle ilişkisi araştınlmış bulunmaktadır. Alan denklemlerinin bilinen çözümlerinden derlenmiş çok sayıda çözüm üzerine yapılan incelemede, aynı Petrov sununa ait çözümlerin ortak fiziksel özelliklere sahip olmadıktan saptanmış bulunmaktadır. m

ABSRACT In this thesis, the relation between the Petrov classification in terms of the invaryant algebraic properties of the Riemann-Christoffel tensor with the physical properties of the space-time geometry which are determined by the same tensor, has been investigated. Many solutions which have been collected from the solutions of the field equations,have been considered and at the end of this consideration, it has been determined that the solutions which belong the same Petrov class have not the same physical properties.
