Recent developments in geospatial technologies, web-based service infrastructures, and data-intensive analytical methods have increased the need for integrated systems that can manage, process, and disseminate geodetic and geodynamic data in a sustainable manner. Satellite-based geodetic observations, particularly GNSS data, are no longer used only for positioning purposes. They also provide valuable information for monitoring crustal motion, examining geodynamic processes, and supporting datadriven applications related to time-sensitive natural phenomena. In this context, the effective use of geodetic data requires more than data acquisition. It requires a system architecture in which data management, analytical processing, standardized dissemination, and user-facing access mechanisms are considered together. This Ph.D. thesis addresses this need through the design and implementation of a satellite-based geodetic and geodynamic data analysis and management system. The study is grounded in the spatial data infrastructure perspective and focuses on the development of an extensible, standards-aware, and service-oriented platform. The proposed system is designed to support the processing, storage, management, analysis, and web-based presentation of data obtained from GNSS observations, as well as geodetic and geodynamic analyses based on these observations. It combines data management requirements with computational services and applied analytical workflows within a single architectural framework. In this respect, the thesis treats geodetic data not only as managed datasets, but also as data sources that can be processed, analyzed, and used to produce analytical outputs within an integrated system design. The platform architecture is developed in accordance with service-oriented design principles, and system functions are decomposed in line with a microservice architecture. Spatial data storage, standards-based spatial data services, geodetic computation functions, raw GNSS data processing, and analytical modules are treated as separable but interoperable components. This design supports modular development and allows distinct system functions to be maintained, extended, executed, and managed without requiring a monolithic software structure. Within the platform, relational database components with spatial data support, standards-based spatial service interfaces, web-based client components, and container-based deployment practices are brought together. The resulting architecture provides a technical foundation for geodetic data management while also accommodating computational workflows that can be integrated as independent service components. A further element of the system design is the integration of fundamental geodetic computation and Android-based raw GNSS data evaluation functions within the same platform logic. Basic geodetic operations and data transformation functions are designed as computational components that can be reused across different platform workflows. In addition, the Android-based raw GNSS data evaluation module is incorporated into the platform architecture to enable GNSS observation data obtained from smart mobile devices to be transferred to the platform, evaluated, and linked to the main system components through the resulting positioning outputs. This structure supports the intake of raw GNSS observation data through a user-initiated workflow, its processing with existing evaluation tools, and the storage of the resulting positioning information as system outputs. Thus, the platform is addressed not only as a structure for spatial data access and presentation, but also as an extensible system capable of integrating geodetic computation, raw GNSS data evaluation, and domainspecific analytical workflows within the same architectural framework. The analytical focus of the thesis is the detection of seismic events from high-rate GNSS velocity time series. For this purpose, a hybrid CNN-LSTM architecture operating on 5 Hz GNSS velocity time series is developed and evaluated. The convolutional layers capture local signal patterns within short temporal windows, while the LSTM layers model temporal relationships across successive window sequences. Separate prediction outputs are produced for the North, East, and Up components. This architecture is designed to identify seismic-event-related patterns in GNSS velocity time series as a window-level event/no-event classification problem. In the thesis, this approach is addressed as a deep learning application for seismic event detection using high-rate GNSS velocity data. The model development and evaluation process is structured around four experimental lines. The first line includes the reference CNN-LSTM model results obtained in the scientific publication study, using only velocity time series (TS) inputs under an eventbased training/validation split. Building upon this framework, the thesis extends the analysis by evaluating a TS+PSD configuration in which velocity time series and power spectral density information are used together under a newly defined eventbased data split. In the third experimental line, a TS-only dataset prepared under the same new split is evaluated using the hyperparameters selected for the TS+PSD configuration, in order to assess the effect of input representation. In the fourth line, the TS-only input structure is evaluated again under the same split, but this time through a separate Optuna-based hyperparameter optimization. This design enables a more systematic examination of the effects of input representation and hyperparameter selection on model behavior, while also allowing the experimental results to be interpreted with regard to differences in data split and optimization conditions. In all final model selection procedures, validation macro PR-AUC is used as the primary model selection criterion. The training strategy includes early stopping and learning-rate scheduling. The evaluation process is not limited to model selection metrics, however. The thesis distinguishes clearly between model selection during training and post-training performance analysis under different decision policies. This distinction is important because threshold selection, score aggregation, and channel fusion are not used to select the best model itself, but to examine the decision behavior of trained models under alternative decision settings. Performance evaluation is conducted at two complementary levels. The first is the window-level evaluation, in which the model's classification behavior is examined over individual time windows. The second is the event–station-level evaluation, in which window scores and channel-wise outputs are combined to determine whether a seismic event is detected for a given station–event record. The event–station perspective is central to the final interpretation of the thesis because it reflects a higher-level decision mechanism built from temporal score sequences and channel-wise predictions. The thesis therefore treats window-level and event–station-level evaluations as distinct but complementary analyses rather than interchangeable performance views. The event–station-level analysis is developed through a set of ablation-style and decision-policy comparisons. First, alternative event-score aggregation modes are examined, including maximum, mean, and p90 summaries. Second, different channel fusion strategies are investigated, including any-channel fusion, two-out-of-three majority voting, and weighted fusion. Third, multiple operating points are considered, including fixed thresholds such as τ = 0.5 and τ = 0.7, as well as validation-derived val-bestF1 thresholds. In the broader reporting process, additional validationcalibrated operating points and target-FPR thresholds are also considered as supporting performance characterizations. These analyses enable the thesis to examine how event decisions change as a function of score aggregation, channel fusion, and threshold policy rather than attributing all observed behavior solely to the underlying neural network architecture. The results obtained from the real GNSS test dataset show that performance depends substantially on the input representation and on the decision structure applied after model inference. Under the TS+PSD configuration, the combination of maximum event-score aggregation and two-out-of-three majority voting is identified as the recommended event–station-level decision strategy. The comparison of operating points indicates that τ = 0.7 provides a more selective decision point than τ = 0.5 for the TS+PSD model. While τ = 0.5 supports a more sensitive preliminary detection layer, τ = 0.7 yields a more selective second-level detection layer by reducing false alarms while maintaining high recall. Accordingly, the application-oriented recommendation of the thesis is to treat the fixed τ = 0.5 threshold as a preliminary detection level and the fixed τ = 0.7 threshold as a more selective second-level detection level. The controlled comparisons between TS+PSD and TS-only experiments under the same seismic-event-based split further clarify the contribution of the input design. When the TS-only control experiment is run with the hyperparameters obtained for TS+PSD, its event–station-level performance remains usable but is lower than that the corresponding TS+PSD model. In the thesis, this difference is interpreted as evidence that the additional PSD representation contributes positively to the event-level decision process under the tested setting. At the same time, the re-optimized TS-only experiment is also evaluated separately, ensuring that the role of input representation is not confused with the role of hyperparameter optimization. The thesis therefore treats the TS+PSD and TS-only comparisons with attention to differences in input representation and optimization conditions and avoids reducing the findings to an oversimplified“one input is always superior”conclusion. The window-level results are examined to evaluate the channel-wise classification behavior of the model on the real GNSS test data. These evaluations show that window-level discriminability varies across channel components and remains more limited particularly for the UP component. Horizontal components generally present more balanced discrimination than the UP component. This observation is central to the thesis interpretation: event–station-level evaluation is not presented as a replacement for window-level assessment, but as a complementary decision level that better reflects the way station-level event presence can be inferred from multiple temporal windows and channel outputs. The thesis thus preserves a clear distinction between window-level classification behavior and event–station-level decision production based on score aggregation and channel fusion. To examine changes in model behavior between development and test conditions, the thesis analyzes distributional differences between the training/validation data and the real GNSS test data. Channel-based descriptive statistics, spectral characteristics, and RBF-kernel MMD values are examined. The MMD analysis indicates channel-wise distributional differences between the training and test distributions, particularly in the horizontal components. This finding is complemented by SHAP-based model behavior analysis. Average absolute SHAP values are compared between validation and test conditions, revealing changes in model contribution patterns across the two settings. When considered together, the MMD and SHAP results support the interpretation that model behavior under real GNSS test conditions is influenced by distributional differences between semi-synthetic training conditions and real GNSS noise environments. The thesis also compares the proposed hybrid CNN-LSTM architecture with alternative classification approaches. These comparisons include CNN-only, LSTMonly, and Random Forest Model configurations. The comparison is carried out at the event–station level on the real GNSS test dataset. The deep learning-based models are compared under the fixed τ = 0.5 operating point. The results show that the models exhibit different precision–recall balances rather than a single uniform dominance pattern. The hybrid CNN-LSTM model tends to emphasize sensitivity relative to the other deep learning variants, whereas the LSTM-only model yields the highest F1 score among the deep learning models at this operating point. The Random Forest Model achieves very high recall but lower precision. However, the RFM result is reported using a different operating point and the evaluation procedure of the referenced implementation. Therefore, the comparison is used to interpret general behavioral differences among models rather than to claim a strictly one-to-one performance ranking across non-equivalent settings. A major contribution of the thesis lies not only in the development and evaluation of the hybrid CNN-LSTM model, but also in its integration into the REST-based application layer of the proposed platform as a Geodetic–Geodynamic Analysis component. The resulting workflow begins with the intake of 5 Hz GNSS data through RINEX upload or station–time-based querying. It continues with the generation of velocity time series through SNIVEL, the preparation of features and normalized model inputs, the execution of inference, and the production of event-level decisions. These outputs are then linked to station locations and transferred through REST API services in GeoJSON format for visualization on the web-based map interface. The implementation connects high-rate GNSS-based seismic event detection to a broader data management and analysis architecture. FastAPI, Celery, Redis, PostGIS, and GeoServer are used within the platform to support task orchestration, data persistence, service communication, and spatial data presentation. Model outputs are queried through REST API services, transferred in GeoJSON format, and visualized with respect to station locations on the web-based map interface. This structure creates a complete processing chain from data intake to analytical result dissemination and shows how deep learning-based geodynamic analysis can be integrated into an extensible service infrastructure. The proposed application is not presented as an operational earthquake early warning system. Rather, it is positioned as an analytical and decision-support infrastructure that could be further developed toward such systems when combined with real-time or near-real-time GNSS data streams, latency analysis, and alarm decision mechanisms. This careful positioning is important in the thesis because the current work focuses on data management, analytical integration, event detection modeling, and service-based implementation rather than on the full operational validation of an early warning system. Overall, this Ph.D. thesis makes a twofold contribution. First, it proposes and implements a standards-aware, extensible, and microservice-oriented platform for the analysis and management of satellite-based geodetic data and related geodynamic analysis workflows. Second, it develops, evaluates, and integrates into the system architecture a hybrid CNN-LSTM-based approach for seismic event detection from high-rate GNSS velocity time series. These two dimensions are intentionally brought together: the platform provides the architectural basis for managing and serving GNSS-based geodetic products, while the seismic detection application shows how a deep learning-based analytical workflow can be incorporated into the same serviceoriented environment. The findings of the thesis indicate that high-rate GNSS velocity time series offer a meaningful basis for event-oriented seismic analysis, particularly when temporal modeling, spectral representation, aggregation strategy, and channel fusion are jointly considered. At the same time, the results show that real-data deployment requires careful treatment of data representation, threshold selection, false alarm control, and distributional differences between development and test conditions. By combining platform design, deep learning-based seismic analysis, model behavior investigation, and REST-based system integration, the thesis contributes to the management and service-based analysis of satellite-based geodetic data within a spatial data infrastructure perspective. It also supports the applied use of high-rate GNSS velocity time series estimated from time-differenced carrier phase observations (TDCP) in geodynamic event analysis.
