Özet
Bu tez, Mekkî Kur'an'da udûl (üslup değişimi) olgusunu, Kur'ânî söylemin inşasında dikkat çekici bir yere sahip olan edebî bir üslup olarak ele almaktadır. Udûl, bağlamın gerektirdiği ve edebî amaçların zorunlu kıldığı durumlarda, yerleşik asıldan veya alışılmış kuraldan bilinçli bir şekilde başka bir yapıya geçilmesini ifade eder. Çalışma, teorik ve uygulamalı olmak üzere iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Tezin teorik bölümünde, udûl kavramı lugavî ve ıstılahî yönleriyle ele alınmış; kavramın tanımı, sınırları ve belâgat ile nahiv incelemelerindeki kullanım alanları bağlamında âlimlerin görüşleri ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca Kur'an-ı Kerîm hitabının önemi ele alınmış, Mekkî dönem tanıtılmış ve Mekkî hitabın temel özellikleri açıklanmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra Mekkî–Medenî ayrımını bilmenin, Kur'ân metninin doğru anlaşılması ve tefsir edilmesindeki rolü vurgulanmıştır. Uygulamalı bölüm ise Mekkî sûrelerde udûl olgusunun tezahürlerini incelemeye ayrılmıştır. Bu çerçevede fiillerde (geçmiş, şimdiki ve emir kipleri), isimlerde (isim-i mevsûl, işaret isimleri ve zamirler), ayrıca harflerde ve sarfî yapılarda görülen udûl türleri ele alınmıştır. Seçilen Kur'ân örnekleri belâgî açıdan analiz edilerek, udûlün anlamı genişletici etkisi, manayı derinleştirici rolü ve Mekkî hitabın akîde ve üslûp eksenli amaçlarına hizmet eden yönleri ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışma, Mekkî Kur'an'daki udûlün tesâdüfi bir üslup sapması olmadığını; bilakis metnin anlam yapısını sağlamlaştıran, ikna edici etkisini güçlendiren ve Kur'an'ın beyanî i'câzının önemli yönlerinden birini yansıtan bilinçli bir üslûp tercihi olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yönüyle tez, Kur'ân belâgati ve Kur'an araştırmalarına katkı sunmayı hedeflemektedir.

This thesis examines the phenomenon of udûl (stylistic change) in the Meccan Quran as a literary style that holds a significant place in the construction of Quranic discourse. Udûl refers to the conscious shift from an established principle or customary rule to another structure when the context requires it and literary aims necessitate it. The study consists of two main sections: theoretical and applied. In the theoretical section of the thesis, the concept of udûl is discussed from its linguistic and terminological aspects; the definition, boundaries, and areas of use of the concept in rhetoric and grammar studies are presented, along with the views of scholars. Furthermore, the importance of the Quranic address is discussed, the Meccan period is introduced, and the fundamental characteristics of the Meccan address are explained. In addition, the role of knowing the Meccan-Medinan distinction in correctly understanding and interpreting the Quranic text is emphasized. The applied section is devoted to examining the manifestations of the phenomenon of udûl (a type of stylistic deviation) in Meccan surahs. Within this framework, the types of udûl observed in verbs (past, present, and imperative moods), nouns (relative pronouns, demonstrative pronouns, and pronouns), as well as in particles and morphological structures, are discussed. Selected Quranic examples are analyzed from a rhetorical perspective, revealing the broadening effect of udûl on meaning, its role in deepening the understanding, and its contribution to the doctrinal and stylistic aims of Meccan discourse. The study demonstrates that udûl in the Meccan Quran is not a coincidental stylistic deviation; rather, it is a conscious stylistic choice that strengthens the semantic structure of the text, enhances its persuasive effect, and reflects one of the important aspects of the Quran's eloquent miraculousness. In this respect, the thesis aims to contribute to the study of Quranic rhetoric and Quranic studies.
